In an effort to raise awareness of the younger generation on the importance of healthy financial management and the dangers of drug abuse, KKN students of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a socialization at the Plumbon Village Hall, Temon, Kulon Progo, Saturday (31\/08). This activity was attended by 20 teenagers from Sringkel and Salam 3 hamlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Muhamad Iksal Rumalean, the chief executive of the educational socialization activity, expressed his gratitude for the participation of all parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe hope that this educational socialization can provide a comprehensive understanding to teenagers about how to manage finances wisely and the dangers that lurk if they fall into drug abuse,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with Iksal, Sujono, Dukuh Salam 3, also highlighted the importance of this activity. \u201cCases of drug abuse among teenagers are increasingly worrying. Through socialization like this, we hope to provide enough knowledge for them to stay away from drugs,\u201d said Sujono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Educational materials include financial management delivered by Nabila Az-Zahra, a Management Study Program student, and the dangers of drugs presented by Imelda Oktaviani, a Midwifery Study Program student. Field Supervisors, Lulu Syifa Pratama and Bdn. Intan Mutiara Putri, also provided support and direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nabila emphasized the importance of early financial planning so that teenagers can achieve their life goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith good financial management, teenagers can avoid debt and have savings for the future,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Imelda explained the different types of drugs, their negative impact on health, and how to prevent abuse. \u201cPeer support is very important in drug prevention efforts,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
