The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta<\/a> has once again shown its concern for the community. Through the Strengthening the Capacity of Student Organizations (PPKO) Program, BEM FIKes UNISA succeeded in empowering cadre mothers and toddlers in Sendangagung Village, Minggir, Sleman<\/a> by forming a business team \u201cCESTU DENAWA\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PMT Innovation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Supplementary Food Processing (PMT) is one of the difficult programs, but the presence of PPKO students is very helpful in innovating PMT which will be distributed to posyandu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For approximately 7 meetings, students have provided counseling, nutritious PMT training, and direct PMT distribution. This activity not only increases the knowledge of cadres, but also encourages the creation of PMT innovations that are more attractive and liked by children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are very happy to be able to contribute to stunting prevention efforts in Sendangagung Village,\u201d said Emilia Dani Safitri, team leader of PPK Ormawa BEM FIKes UNISA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHopefully, the ‘CESTU DENAWA’ business team can run successfully and have a positive impact on the community,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the establishment of the \u201cCESTU DENAWA\u201d business, it is expected to increase the availability of quality PMT in the village, so as to significantly reduce the stunting rate. In addition, this business also opens up new economic opportunities for the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe want to ensure that the innovations we create have a sustainable impact. Therefore, we involve the village community in the management of this business,\u201d said Wantonoro, PPKO lecturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
