Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta<\/a> has once again demonstrated its commitment to fighting corruption. This time, through the Public Administration Study Program of the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Humanities (FEISHum), UNISA collaborates with the Corruption Eradication Commission<\/a> (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia and the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) Yogyakarta. This collaboration gave birth to a very important initiative, namely the Women’s Anti-Corruption Guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anti-Corruption<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The event, which took place in the 2nd floor courtroom of the Siti Moendjijah building on Thursday (17\/10), attracted at least 90 participants from various universities in Yogyakarta. The theme, \u201cCorruption Eradication through the Yogyakarta Women’s Network\u201d, was the main highlight of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gerry Katon Mahendra, S.IP., M.IP as the Head of the Public Administration Study Program at UNISA Yogyakarta expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this technical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe really welcome this collaboration. Hopefully, this activity can create new anti-corruption agents, especially on campus,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with Gerry, David Sepriwasa, Analyst of Corruption Eradication Directorate of Community Participation Development of KPK RI who became the main speaker, emphasized the important role of women in corruption prevention efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWomen have a very strategic role in the family and society. By equipping them with knowledge and understanding of corruption, we hope that anti-corruption values can be instilled early on,\u201d said David.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Women?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selection of women as the main target in this technical guidance is not without reason. Women have a great influence in family and community life. By involving women in corruption prevention efforts, it is hoped that the values of integrity and honesty can be internalized in the family and the wider social environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event became more lively with a question and answer session between the participants and the moderator. The participants enthusiastically asked questions and shared experiences related to corruption prevention efforts in their respective environments. This shows that awareness of the importance of corruption eradication is increasing among the younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration between UNISA Yogyakarta, KPK, and IMM Yogyakarta is expected to be an example for other educational institutions in corruption prevention efforts. In the future, it is hoped that more similar activities will be organized to raise public awareness about the dangers of corruption and the importance of active participation of each individual in combating it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
