Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta<\/a> has once again demonstrated its commitment to achieving international recognition. On Tuesday (22\/10) UNISA held a workshop entitled \u201cImproving National and International Reputation\u201d which was attended by all levels of leadership, heads of study programs, and heads of bureaus. The event, which took place in the 4th floor meeting room of the Siti Moendjijah building, aimed to increase understanding of the QS World University Rankings<\/a> and the efforts UNISA can make to improve its position in the prestigious ranking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go International<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In her speech, the Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat, emphasized that improving international reputation is a strategic step to realize UNISA’s vision as a World Class University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRecognition from foreign institutions is very important to show UNISA’s existence in the global higher education arena,\u201d said Rector Warsiti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Mega Hidayati, S.Ag., S.S., M.A., as the resource person, gave an in-depth presentation on the importance of international rankings for universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cInternational ranking is a benchmark of the quality of a university in the eyes of the world. Although the process is challenging, it is a homework that we must complete together,\u201d said Dr. Mega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop is a momentum for UNISA to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the various aspects assessed in the QS World University Rankings. UNISA Yogyakarta is optimistic that it can improve its position in the QS World University Rankings and be increasingly recognized as a quality university that can go international.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
