A total of 198 students of the Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM) study program at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta took part in the student internship pledge at Baroroh Baried Hall, UNISA Yogyakarta integrated campus, Saturday (12\/04\/2025). Internship is the first step in student readiness to face the world of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Dewi Rokhanawati, M.PH, in her speech said that the implementation of the internship pledge is the first step for students to prepare themselves to meet directly with patients and different environments. \u201cOf course, we are grateful because all study programs at the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) have superior accreditation, including the TLM study program,\u201d said Dewi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also emphasized that this superior accreditation is not merely superior words, of course it must be accompanied by practices in the field and be able to adapt to the surrounding environment by providing good benefits. \u201cSo that TLM students themselves will also later in a series of processes later undergo practical activities in the field also carrying superior predicates,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Dewi also advised that the success of students in becoming an expert must certainly continue to process and be committed. \u201cMake the best use of the internship opportunity later, if you don’t know better ask and don’t forget to enjoy the process,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the one hand, Chairman of DPW (Association of Indonesian Medical Laboratory Technologists (PATELKI) DIY, Joko Budiono, S.St appreciates that UNISA Yogyakarta is increasingly trusted by parents of students as a place to learn and process. \u201cThe promises that you make must be a serious commitment when in the field later, of course this opportunity is very good to implement the knowledge that has been received while studying on campus,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joko also said that there will be new experiences that will be received when in the field later, starting from different service systems, work procedures. \u201cI believe UNISA Yogyakarta TLM students are capable of being professional, competent, ethical, managerial and leadership experts, so that they can maintain the good name of parents, campus and lecturers,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by the academic community of UNISA Yogyakarta, DPW ILMATEKI DIY, hospitals and health centers that will become internship sites for 198 UNISA Yogyakarta TLM students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
