Yes, definitely (cooperation with PP Aisyiyah to advance the village). Even though the village is already advanced, we need to improve it again,” said Yandri.

Yandri said that if you want to achieve the Golden Indonesia of 2045, the key is in the village, because 73 percent of the population is in the village. According to him, if village development is neglected, achieving a Golden Indonesia will be difficult.

In addition, a number of villages also have other advantages that can be developed, such as villages that have export potential, tourist villages, and others. Salmah Orbayinah, M.Kes said Aisyiyah is very concerned about village development, just as the current government is also concerned with village development. “We realize from the village to get quality people, quality apparatus,” said Salmah.

It is hoped that the presence of Aisyiyah and the Ministry of PDT can build a better country, more progressive, can build a better civilization that enlightens. To build it must target the lowest level.

Salmah said that although Aisyiyah is known as a religious organization, it also preaches in all aspects. There is da’wah in the fields of education, health, economy, politics, and so on. She cited Yogyakarta’s Aisyiyah University (UNISA) as a form of da’wah in the field of education. It is also expected to be able to contribute to the village level.

Salmah also said Aisyiyah would support in other fields, such as health, community economic empowerment, food security, strengthening human resources including encouraging the involvement of women and so on.

The Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep, Sp.Mat. also welcomed the cooperation between the Ministry of PDT and PP Aisyiyah. UNISA Yogyakarta is also ready to support the programs that will be run later. “We support the da’wah that Aisyiyah does,” said Warsiti.

Head of Jatirejo Village, Lendah, Kulon Progo, Novi Bayu Widiasmara said that as one of the target villages of this cooperation program, Jatirejo has an advantage in agriculture that is ready to be developed. “Regarding what program we want to run with Aisyiyah, what is clear is that we cannot be separated from food security, because the basics support it,” he said.

The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) and the Central Leadership (PP) of Aisyiyah signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for village development, at Aisyiyah University (UNISA) Yogyakarta, Tuesday (20/5/2025).
