The Ministry of National Development Planning\/ National Development Planning Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (Ministry of PPN\/ Bappenas) appreciates the running of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) of Aisyiyah University (UNISA) Yogyakarta. UNISA Yogyakarta SPPG is considered to be running well in supporting the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erwin Dimas, Deputy for Development Control, Evaluation and Risk Management of the Ministry of National Development Planning\/Bappenas, said that one of President Prabowo Subianto’s directives through the Minister was to control and ensure the running of the national MBG project. On this occasion, his party was present to see the process from the beginning, from the kitchen checking nutrition, hygiene, and so on, to visiting elementary schools to see the distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erwin appreciated the excellent running of the MBG kitchen or SPPG UNISA Yogyakarta. \u201cIn particular, the kitchen that we visited is very good, especially since it is managed by a strong foundation, Muhammadiyah, which has a strong A to Z network,\u201d said Erwin, Tuesday (5\/27\/2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Erwin, UNISA Yogyakarta has prepared the kitchen well since the beginning. He hopes that the MBG program will not only run for one point of nutritious food. It should also be seen as an ecosystem that is built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow do you see the distribution of food supplies that encourage the growth and welfare of others outside of students. Then how can we apply that education to students, how to be disciplined in line, maintain cleanliness, respect those who cook,\u201d said Erwin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Nutrition Coordinating Board, M. Nurul Yamin said Muhammadiyah as a partner has prepared as best as possible to support the MBG program, from infrastructure, human resources, to quality control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlhamdulillah, it went well and the program in Muhammadiyah kitchens including UNISA Yogyakarta has been running for five weeks. We hope that the SOP that has been determined by the national coordinator of the Muhammadiyah Nutritious Meal is implemented, because that is what will oversee the nutritious meal process,\u201d Yamin explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with Erwin, Yamin said there are many benefits in this MBG program. At least Muhammadiyah sees four benefits that can be taken. First, ensuring that the benefits are received by students or beneficiaries. \u201cOf course, this includes the children of Muhammadiyah students,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second, the value of economic ecosystem benefits, especially because it involves upstream such as farmers, fishermen, and MSMEs. Third, is the value of benefits related to labor. \u201cThis program involves a lot of labor, if from upstream, one kitchen can involve 100s of workers. Fourthly, for us, this activity synergizes the assemblies, institutions and business charities,\u201d said Yamin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head of SPPG UNISA Yogyakarta, Avira Durrotul Rasyida added that currently SPPG UNISA Yogyakarta has targeted 12 schools from kindergarten to high school, both schools under Muhammadiyah and public schools. \u201cThe maximum number of beneficiaries is 1,900 per day, depending on each school’s schedule. Sometimes 1,200, 1,500, because some have outside activities, holidays,\u201d said Avira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avira said that the target of UNISA Yogyakarta SPPG will be able to serve 3,500 beneficiaries later. This target is expected to run in July or August. \u201cThere must be technical obstacles, but Alhamdulillah, it can still be controlled,\u201d said Avira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beneficiaries Welcome<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head of SD N Serangan, Endang Srie Wahjoenie, welcomed the MBG program. According to her, with this program, children who usually can’t eat breakfast or don’t have time to eat breakfast, can enjoy meals from the MBG program. \u201cWe are very grateful for what has been done,\u201d said Endang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of SD N Serangan’s students, Andika Aliansyah, was happy to receive this nutritious meal. He ate the rice and side dishes that were served with gusto. \u201cIt’s delicious, there’s chicken, milk, vegetables, fruit,\u201d said the grade 2 student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another student, Zahira Fauziah Firmansyah, was also happy to receive this nutritious meal. She also admitted that she finished the food she received. \u201cHappy, delicious, finished, I like vegetables too,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
