Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta Holds Special Graduation Ceremony at the Convention Hall of Walidah Dahlan Mosque

Yogyakarta, 1st October 2023. Universitas Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a special graduation ceremony this year. This graduation ceremony was the first to be held in Walidah Dahlan Mosque at UNISA Yogyakarta, an event that was highly anticipated by all families and students who had completed their academic journey.

In a graduation ceremony held on Saturday, September 30th 2023, UNISA Yogyakarta released 784 graduates. From the total graduates, 78,7% of the achieved the cum laude title, showing their high dedication and hard work during their studies.
Not only that, the distribution of the Grade Point Average (GPA) of the graduates also show the high quality of education at UNISA Yogyakarta. From Postgraduated programs, the average GPA of graduated reaches 3.88, while undergraduate programs the average GPA is 3.38 and diploma programs have an average GPA of 3.78

In the student competency test result, outstanding results were also obtained. The D3 Midwifery study program achieved 96% as a pass rate, while Radiodiagnostic Technique Diploma Program (TRR) 99.1%, The Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM) program reached 88,67%. The Midwifery profesion program is 90%, the nursing profession is 92,56%, Anasthesia nursing reaches 100%. This shows the high standard of skills and knowledge of student in UNISA Yogyakarta.
Not only that, but the University also attracted 2500 new students to join, signalling a good reputation and public confidence in the quality of education in UNISA Yogyakarta.

The Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, M.Kep., Sp.Mat., said that this achievement is the result of the student passing three periods, named the pre-covid period, during the pandemic and the post-covid period. They shown resilience and endurance in facing various challenges in their academic journey.

In addition, UNISA also recorded an extraordinary achievement with the appointment of the highest functional position of the first professor at UNISA Yogyakarta and also the first Professor of Midwifery in Indonesia. Furthermore, UNISA will open a Doctor of Midwifery program as well as a Master of Nursing and Master of Physiotherapy program.
“This is our big step in advancing the field of health and education in Indonesia” said Warsiti. All these achievements are proof that Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta continues to be committed to provide high quality education and producing graduates who are ready to compete in the professional world.
