Ahead of the graduation ceremony on October 4, Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta is preparing 1,130 prospective alumni. They are required to attend the “Alumni Briefing and Career Development 2025” event held at the Walidah Dahlan Mosque Convention Hall on Tuesday (9/30).

This event is not merely a formality. The university has specifically invited a number of competent speakers to provide additional guidance to the prospective graduates so they are not caught off guard when entering the competitive job market.

Alumni Empowerment Coordinator Rosiana Nur Imallah, S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kep., or Oci, explained that the main objective of this activity was to prepare graduates mentally and skill-wise. According to her, a diploma alone was not enough to compete.

“This activity is to prepare graduates to face competition in the world of work, as well as to motivate them to be ready to compete,” said Oci.

With the theme “Producing Successful, Excellent, Characteristic, and Professional Alumni,” prospective graduates from all faculties are equipped with various important materials. These range from career-building strategies and tips for job interviews to the importance of maintaining character and professionalism in the workplace.

With this preparation, UNISA Yogyakarta hopes that its alumni will not only excel academically, but also possess high competitiveness and be ready to become professionals who make a real contribution to society.
