Aisyiyah University (Unisa) Yogyakarta has once again demonstrated its commitment to recognizing outstanding students. One of this year’s recipients of the Unisa Yogyakarta Achievement Scholarship is Khalishah Prima Alifia Putri, a first-semester student in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy program from Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Khalishah is known as a bright and accomplished young person since her school days. She has won various awards in the field of science, including the Gold Medal at the 2023 Indonesia Advanced Student Competition (IASC) in Physics, the Silver Medal at the 2023 National Student Science Competition (KS2N) in Physics, the Silver Medal at the 2023 Indonesia International Applied Science Project Olympiad (I2ASPO), and becoming a finalist at MYRES 2023.

Among all these achievements, the most memorable moment for Khalishah was when she won the Silver Medal at the I2ASPO 2023 event. “It wasn’t just about the medal, but the experience of presenting scientific work in front of an international jury. I learned a lot about self-confidence, critical thinking, and defending research results with valid data,” she recalled on Monday (October 6, 2025).

Khalishah’s main motivation for achieving success is her desire to continue to grow and become the best version of herself. “I want to make my parents proud and prove that with hard work, consistency, and prayer, we can achieve anything we dream of,” she said.

When she was announced as a recipient of the Unisa Yogyakarta Achievement Scholarship, Khalishah expressed her deep gratitude. “This scholarship is not only financial support, but also a form of trust from Unisa Yogyakarta. I feel a sense of responsibility to prove that I deserve it,” she said.

For Khalishah, this scholarship gives her the space to focus on her studies and actively contribute to the campus environment. “I can dedicate my full time to mastering the basic Physiotherapy courses. Additionally, I plan to be active in student organizations and research clubs to build relationships with lecturers and seniors,” she explained.

However, she does not deny that there are challenges in balancing her time between college, achievements, and personal life. “I learn to be disciplined and manage my time as efficiently as possible. The biggest challenge is maintaining mental balance so that I can stay focused and not get stressed easily,” she said.

To maintain consistent academic performance, Khalishah has her own learning strategy. She is accustomed to active learning, not cramming the night before. “I review the material every night for at least an hour. If there is a difficult topic, I explain it as if I were teaching someone else. If I can explain it simply, it means I understand it,” she said.

She also revealed that support from her family, lecturers, and friends has been a crucial factor in her academic journey. “My family always gives me confidence and creates a comfortable home environment for studying. The lecturers at Unisa Yogyakarta are also very supportive, offering opportunities for consultations and even encouraging us to participate in competitions. My friends also help each other, creating a positive learning ecosystem,” she explained.

Khalishah shared an inspiring message with other students, encouraging them not to be afraid of failure and to continue searching for their passion. “Achievement isn’t just about having a high GPA. Achievement is the process of trying to be better than yesterday. When you’re tired, remember why you chose Unisa Yogyakarta and your major. Use scholarships or any other achievements as fuel to keep growing,” she said.

Looking ahead, Khalishah hopes to become a physiotherapist who makes a real impact on society. “I want to focus on community physiotherapy or sports physiotherapy. Someday, I want to establish a clinic that not only provides treatment but also education and prevention,” she said enthusiastically.

According to her, Unisa Yogyakarta plays a significant role in nurturing high-achieving students. “Unisa Yogyakarta isn’t just a campus; it’s a home that provides facilities, guidance, and motivation for us to grow. This campus believes in its students’ potential, and that makes us even more confident in achieving excellence,” she said.

Closing the conversation, Khalishah expressed her gratitude to all those who had supported her. “Thank you to my parents for their endless prayers and sacrifices, and to the entire academic community at Unisa Yogyakarta for their trust and this golden opportunity. I will strive to be a graduate of Unisa Yogyakarta who brings real benefits to society,” she said emotionally.
