Communication Science students of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta called for resistance to the rise of online gambling (judol), with a campaign on the road of the Unisa Communication Science Student Creativity Event (Antariksa) 2025, at Yogyakarta’s Zero Kilometer Point, Wednesday (2/7/2025). Judol still needs to be a serious concern, because there are no progressive steps to eradicate it.

“The issue of online gambling has grabbed our attention several years ago, but to this day we have not seen more progressive steps (to eradicate), from who should regulate this, who are the perpetrators, and so on,” said Vice Rector IV of Unisa Yogyakarta, Ali Imron.

Imron encouraged the government not to be lax in eradicating judol. As an educational institution, Imron also said Unisa Yogyakarta was trying to take a role in eradicating judol and preventing the younger generation from being shackled by judol.

“As an educational community, we are well aware that one of the main targets who become victims in the end is the younger generation, the age of our students. I think it needs to be addressed, because really when students are trapped in judol, the entire academic process will experience destruction,” said Imron.

Imron reminded us that it is very easy for people to get caught up in judol with the advancement of technology. Those who are trapped in judol, sometimes due to ignorance and inadvertence. Therefore, it is important to provide literacy to the younger generation.

“We also educate them (students) on the importance of being careful in ‘clicking’ when surfing the internet. We raise awareness so that their fingers are careful,” said Imron.

Chairman of Antariksa 2025, Reza Al-Khifari, said that the campaign on the road was the culmination of three series of Antariksa 2025 activities, after the previous successes of Antariksa Goes to School and Antariksa Sapa Warga. This agenda is to remind the public about the dangers of judol.

“With the theme Every Click Can Take Your Life, this activity aims to increase public awareness of the dangers of online gambling, and invite the public to participate in the rejection movement through signing a petition of support,” said Reza.

In this action, in addition to speeches from the Vice Rector IV of Unisa Yogyakarta, there were also symbolic sessions of signing petitions, distributing sweet cards, street theatrical performances, and closed with a red light flashmob as a symbolic form that the danger of online gambling is now a serious threat that must be stopped together.

This campaign is also part of the 34th anniversary of Unisa Yogyakarta. This campaign received support from various parties, including the Yogyakarta Special Region Financial Services Authority (OJK DIY), Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), and R.A. Yashinta Sekarwangi Mega, as a Member of Committee IV DPD RI.

Universitas Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta launched the Halal Product Process Assistance Agency (LP3H) at Baroroh Hall Unisa Yogyakarta, Thursday (3/7/2025). The presence of LP3H Unisa Yogyakarta is expected to support the acceleration of halal product certification.

Deputy Chairman of the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), Afriansyah Noor appreciated the launching of LP3H Unisa Yogyakarta. The presence of LP3H Unisa Yogyakarta is expected to support the halal certification target.

“Mandatory halal that must be implemented for food, beverages, micro, small is October 2026. So LP3H Unisa Yogyakarta is very helpful for us in the government’s acceleration program to provide halal certification,” he said.

Afriansyah further revealed that currently there are only about 300 LP3H. Then for the Halal Examining Agency (LPH) there are only 97. “It is still very lacking, this is what we continue to develop. For new halal certification assistants, there are around 90 thousand throughout Indonesia. An efficient companion for 62 million products is estimated to be around 250 thousand people,” said Afriansyah.

Afriansyah also hopes that many assistants will be born for halal certification from LP3H Unisa Yogyakarta. He also encouraged business actors to actively register for halal certification. “Later we are ready to provide halal certification according to the procedures and regulations that have been implemented,” Afriansyah said.

Head of the Halal Center Unisa Yogyakarta, Agil Dhiemitra Aulia Dewi added that LP3H is an institution under the Halal Center. LP3H to support the implementation of halal certification thoroughly and according to standards. “It is also hoped that LP3H Unisa Yogyakarta will provide professional assistance to business actors, especially MSMEs,” he said.

It is also hoped that LP3H can reach the widest possible target. Starting with business actors in the food and beverage sector around the Unisa Yogyakarta campus. Various preparations have also been made by LP3H Unisa Yogyakarta.

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta opened a sports competition between students, Unisa Cup, at Unisa Yogyakarta Integrated Campus, Monday (30/6/2025). As part of Unisa Yogyakarta’s 34th anniversary, the competition is expected to produce professional athletes.

Various sports are contested in the Unisa Cup, including badminton, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, and mobile legend. Unisa Cup is planned to be held until July 25, 2025.

“Through sports, sportsmanship and creativity are built. In addition to competition, we hope that through the Unisa Cup as well as screening talents and interests. Hopefully through Unisa Cup activities can find superior seeds to enter the national competition,” said Rector of Unisa Yogyakarta, Warsiti.

Warsiti said the Unisa Cup is also a gathering place between students from various study programs at Unisa Yogyakarta. It is hoped that this will build a sense of togetherness, and can fill and maintain the excellence of Unisa Yogyakarta.

Warsiti also reminded that the winner is not only the champion, but also how to show his fighting power. “This is the first Unisa Cup, hopefully it can become an annual agenda to maintain sportsmanship and creativity,” said Warsiti.

Unisa Cup Chief Organizer, Ahmad Kurniawan said the opening of the Unisa Cup today was not only a ceremonial event, but also a starting point for a series of activities that were expected to provide benefits. “And can foster enthusiasm and sportsmanship,” he hoped.

Communication Science students of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta continue to fight the rise of online gambling (judol) which is detrimental to society. This real step was intensified through a series of education in the Unisa Communication Science Student Creativity Event (Antariksa) 2025.

With the theme Stop Clicking Start Living, Antariksa 2025 provided education about the dangers of online gambling to high school students in Yogyakarta last May. The education continued with Sapa Warga activities with the theme ‘Strengthening Empowered Communities, Anti Online Gambling’ in Salakan, Nogotirto, Gamping, Sleman, on Sunday (29/6/2025).

“This socialization not only aims to provide understanding, but also to invite the community to jointly build awareness so that they are better prepared to prevent, face the rise of online gambling. Through this socialization, the Antariksa team is trying to reach people who are often vulnerable to the negative impact of online gambling,” said Chairman of Antariksa 2025, Reza Al-Khifari.

Reza said this step was also in support of continuing to reduce the circulation of online gambling funds, which still reached tens of billions in the first quarter of 2025, although it began to show a decline. Launching data from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the turnover of funds related to online gambling in the first quarter of 2025 amounted to IDR 47 trillion, a decline compared to the same period last year, which reached IDR 90 trillion.

In the Sapa Warga event, it was well received by the surrounding community. Head of RT 4 Salakan Hamlet, Agung Dwi Cahyo, said that he welcomed the socialization of online gambling prevention. “The negative impacts of online gambling are many and dangerous. After this socialization, we know how to prevent it early on,” he said.

This socialization is also designed to encourage citizen involvement in voicing the dangers of online gambling through a communicative and easy-to-understand approach, such as open discussions, presentation of educational materials, and direct question and answer sessions with residents. Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta officially opened a series of Internal Quality Audit (AMI) activities in 2025 on Monday (30/6) with the theme “Strengthening Quality Culture in the Spirit of Progressive Islam: Nurturing Excellence and Realizing UNISA Yogyakarta as an Impact Campus.”

The opening ceremony was held offline in the meeting room of Siti Moendjiyah building and was attended by all structural leaders of UNISA Yogyakarta, including leaders of the rectorate, deans, heads of study programs, as well as heads of institutions, agencies, bureaus, and other work units.

The Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat., in the opening of AMI 2025, emphasized the importance of quality culture as the main foundation in the management of higher education. “This year’s AMI theme is very relevant to the university’s strategic policy direction. Caring for excellence means maintaining good quality in a sustainable manner, while realizing UNISA as an impactful campus invites us all to ensure that every program and policy really brings real benefits to the community,” he said.

Dr. Warsiti also added that the implementation of AMI is an important part of the internal monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that all academic and non-academic processes run according to established quality standards. “Quality culture must become our daily breath. In the spirit of progressive Islam, quality is not only an administrative measure, but also part of the mandate to provide the best service as a form of our usefulness to the people,” she added.

UNISA Yogyakarta’s Quality Assurance Agency, Dr. Asri Hidayat, M.Keb, presented the method and technical implementation of AMI in 2025. This session explained in detail the audit scheme, the division of auditors, the instruments used, and the stages of reporting the audit results.

This AMI activity aims to ensure the effectiveness of the internal quality assurance system as well as a strategic step in supporting the achievement of key performance indicators (KPI) and increasing accreditation of institutions and study programs.
