UNISA LSP Establishment Process: Stepping Toward Superior Competency Certification

Aisyiyah University (UNISA) Yogyakarta is currently working on the process of establishing a Professional Certification Agency (LSP) P1. The establishment of this LSP aims to improve the competence of UNISA Yogyakarta graduates through professional certification in accordance with national standards. Under the leadership of UNISA Yogyakarta’s LSP P1 Chairperson, Endang Koni Suryaningsih, the establishment process has reached several important stages.

Certification

One of the stages that has been passed is the appreciation stage from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) for the LSP P1 UNISA Yogyakarta Candidate. This appreciation is an initial recognition of UNISA’s potential and readiness to establish an LSP that will act as an independent institution to manage competency certification in accordance with the needs of industry and profession.

In addition, the scheme document verification process has also been carried out to ensure that all certification schemes prepared are in accordance with applicable standards. LSP P1 UNISA Yogyakarta has also sent Competency Assessor Candidates to attend Competency Assessor training. The assessor candidates are prepared to carry out competency assessment professionally and according to the procedures set by BNSP.

Currently, LSP P1 UNISA Yogyakarta is conducting a workshop on Full Assessment Document Preparation (22/10/2024). This workshop is accompanied by Filosa Gita Sukmono, Head of LSP P1 Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, who provides technical assistance related to the preparation of comprehensive assessment documents. This document is one of the important aspects in the assessment process, which includes competency test materials that will be used in certification.

UNISA Yogyakarta LSP P1 Chairperson, Endang Koni Suryaningsih said, “We are very committed to providing an LSP P1 that is able to provide competency certification that is nationally recognized and relevant to industry needs. With this LSP, UNISA graduates will have higher competitiveness, both locally and nationally.”

“This assistance is part of our efforts to ensure that LSP P1 UNISA Yogyakarta has a strong foundation in preparing assessment documents and competency test materials. We hope that with the steps that have been taken, UNISA can soon have a qualified LSP P1 that is ready to operate.” Said Filosa Gita Sukmono adding

The next stage to be carried out is the Competency Test Material Trial. This trial aims to validate and verify test material documents before they are officially used. This step is crucial in ensuring that the competency test material has met the established criteria and is relevant to industry standards.

With the implementation of all these stages, it is expected that LSP P1 UNISA Yogyakarta can soon be fully operational and become an institution that plays an important role in ensuring the quality of UNISA graduates and workers in various sectors.

Welcoming PINASTHIKA 2024 Roadshow, UNISA Students Ready to Show Their Creativity

The Communication Studies Program at Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta received a surprise visit. This time, the campus located in the heart of the student city had a special guest, the PINASTHIKA roadshow team. The roadshow, which took place at the Baroroh Baried Hall, provided an opportunity for UNISA Communication Science students to get closer to the prestigious national advertising and creative industry competition.

PINASTHIKA, which stands for Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa Indonesia, is an annual competition that is anticipated by students majoring in communication throughout Indonesia. This event is a forum for students to show off in various creative fields, ranging from advertising, graphic design, to short films.

Ade Putranto, S.I.Kom., M.A., as the Head of UNISA’s Communication Studies Program, in his speech expressed his pride and emotion for the visit of the roadshow team.

“PINASTHIKA for me is a good memory when I was a student. I was once a participant in this event and the experience was very valuable,” Ade recalled.

He hopes that UNISA Communication Science students can follow in his footsteps and achieve brilliant achievements at the PINASTHIKA event.

Kukuh Susanto, Roadshow Team Leader, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from UNISA Yogyakarta.

“We are very happy to be able to visit UNISA Yogyakarta. The main purpose of this roadshow is to bring PINASTHIKA closer to students, especially those who have an interest in creative fields,” said Kukuh.

He also hopes that through this roadshow, students can be inspired and find creative ideas that will be realized in their works.

During the roadshow, the team also held creative workshops guided by creative industry practitioners. In this workshop, students were invited to explore their creative potential and get tips and tricks to produce quality work.

The roadshow team’s visit to UNISA Yogyakarta is a golden opportunity for students to develop themselves and achieve achievements at the national level. By participating in the PINASTHIKA event, students can not only hone their creative skills, but also have the opportunity to interact with creative industry players and gain a wide network.

Determined to Go International, UNISA Holds Reputation Enhancement Workshop

Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta has once again demonstrated its commitment to achieving international recognition. On Tuesday (22/10) UNISA held a workshop entitled “Improving National and International Reputation” which was attended by all levels of leadership, heads of study programs, and heads of bureaus. The event, which took place in the 4th floor meeting room of the Siti Moendjijah building, aimed to increase understanding of the QS World University Rankings and the efforts UNISA can make to improve its position in the prestigious ranking.

In her speech, the Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat, emphasized that improving international reputation is a strategic step to realize UNISA’s vision as a World Class University.

“Recognition from foreign institutions is very important to show UNISA’s existence in the global higher education arena,” said Rector Warsiti.

Dr. Mega Hidayati, S.Ag., S.S., M.A., as the resource person, gave an in-depth presentation on the importance of international rankings for universities.

“International ranking is a benchmark of the quality of a university in the eyes of the world. Although the process is challenging, it is a homework that we must complete together,” said Dr. Mega.

This workshop is a momentum for UNISA to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the various aspects assessed in the QS World University Rankings. UNISA Yogyakarta is optimistic that it can improve its position in the QS World University Rankings and be increasingly recognized as a quality university that can go international.

Cooperation between UNISA and SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping to Improve Quality

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta officially collaborates with Muhammadiyah Gamping Vocational High School (SMK). The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which took place in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of the Siti Walidah building, marked a new chapter in the synergy between the two educational institutions in realizing the tridharma of higher education.

Establishing Cooperation

This cooperation is expected to improve the quality of education in both institutions. M. Ali Imron, M.Fis as Vice Rector IV of UNISA Yogyakarta, in his speech said that cooperation with various parties, including educational institutions such as SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping, is a strategic step for UNISA to ensure that its graduates are relevant to the needs of the labor market.

“UNISA is committed to producing graduates who are ready to go directly into the world of work. Through this collaboration, we hope to get the latest input and information about industry needs, so that we can align the learning curriculum with market demands,” said Imron.

In line with Imron, the Principal of SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping, Asarika Fajarini, S.S.M.Pd, also positively welcomed this collaboration. She hopes that this collaboration can provide significant benefits for both parties, especially for the students of SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping.

“This collaboration with UNISA is a great opportunity for our students to gain a wider learning experience. We hope our students can utilize the facilities and resources available at UNISA to develop their potential,” Fajarini said.

This collaboration is expected to create a strong synergy between UNISA Yogyakarta and SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. In addition, this collaboration is also expected to strengthen the network of cooperation between the world of education and industry.

IBCF 2024, AVO UNISA Wins 3 Golds

The UNISA Yogyakarta Student Choir made another proud achievement by winning three gold medals at the 4th International Bandung Choral Festival.

Melody of ‘Aisyiyah Voice (AVO), the student choir of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA), once again made UNISA proud in the international arena. In the 4th International Bandung Choral Festival (IBCF) 2024 which took place from October 17 – 20, 2024, AVO won three gold medals at once.

This brilliant achievement was achieved by AVO in the Mixed Choir, Sacra, and Folksong categories. This victory is the fruit of hard work and high dedication of all choir members who have been practicing intensively for the past six months.

IBCF 2024 is a prestigious choir festival attended by more than 50 participants from various countries. This event is not only a competition, but also a place for young musicians to exchange ideas and experiences.

More than Just Achievement

According to the Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni (BKA) of UNISA Yogyakarta, Yekti Satriyandari, S.ST, M.Kes, AVO’s achievements are very proud of the academic community at UNISA.

“This achievement proves that UNISA students have extraordinary potential in the arts, especially choir,” said Yekti.

Yekti added that UNISA will continue to support the development of students’ talents and interests in various fields, including art.

“We hope that this achievement can be a motivation for other students to continue to work and make the alma mater proud,” she added.
