HIMAGISA Organizes National Seminar on Nutrition
The Nutrition Student Association (HIMAGISA) of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta organized a national seminar on Nutrition with the theme “Balancing Plates, Balancing Mind: A Holistic Approach to Mental Health Through Nutrition” on Saturday (20/01) at Bararah Hall, siti walidah building, Unisa Yogyakarta integrated campus.
Agung Nugroho, AMG, MPH as the Head of the Nutrition Study Program revealed in his remarks that this national seminar activity was very educational for students, especially since the topic raised today was very close to students, namely regarding mental health and food issues.
“Through this national seminar, students are expected to be able to have a broader mindset in maintaining health and become the initial capital to become a competent and useful nutritionist,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) Unisa Yogyakarta M. Ali Imran M, Fis appreciated the good steps taken by HIMAGI in taking the topic of discussion.
Imran also highlighted the mental health issues that occur in society, this is certainly related to poor nutrition and physical activity so that through discussions like this it needs to be encouraged in providing macro and micro understanding of nutritional fulfillment among the general public so that people are increasingly concerned with balanced nutritional intake and physical activity.
“Nutrition and physical activity are two things that need to be considered in maintaining our mental health today,” he said.
