Yogyakarta, March 3, 2024 – Walidah Dahlan Mosque, University of ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA), held a Tarhib Ramadhan recitation with Ustad Adi Hidayat, on Saturday, March 2, 2024. The event, which aims to prepare Muslims in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, was attended by more than 6000 worshipers who filled the mosque.
This recitation activity became even more special with the presence of Ustadz Dr. Adi Hidayat, Lc., MA, Deputy Chairman of the Tabligh Assembly of PP Muhammadiyah, as the main speaker. Ustadz Adi Hidayat in his lecture conveyed the importance of preparing ourselves spiritually to welcome the month of Ramadan with full seriousness, readiness, and spaciousness of heart. According to him, the month of Ramadan is a valuable opportunity for Muslims to get closer to Allah SWT through good deeds and solemn worship.
Furthermore, Adi Hidayat emphasized that Tarhib Ramadhan can be done with various positive activities, such as increasing dhikr, performing sunnah worship, and listening to lectures and recitations organized by taklim assemblies. Thus, it is hoped that Muslims can live the holy month of Ramadan more meaningfully and get multiple blessings.
Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, M.Kep., Sp.Mat., said that the Walidah Dahlan Mosque is a new symbol for UNISA Yogyakarta. As part of the great Aisyiyah movement, this mosque is expected to be a place to radiate the glory of women through the da’wah movement in all aspects of life that can be reached through the mosque. Therefore, this mosque is open for collaboration and wider utilization with the wider community.
Warsiti further said that this activity is part of a series of Ramadan events that aim to enliven the atmosphere of Ramadan and prepare Muslims with various positive activities. In addition to recitation, there will be many other activities that will be held at this mosque. ”Hopefully the enthusiasm of the congregation present today can be maintained until the month of Ramadan arrives and beyond”, said Warsiti.
