Strengthening Cadre Character, BIP Organizes Breaking The Fast Together
Student Scholarship Recipients of Ikatan Persyaratan (BIP) University `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta organized an iftar activity in order to stay in touch and strengthen the character of cadres with the theme “Knitting back Intellectual synergy in togetherness”, Tuesday (02/04) at mbah cho vineyard, Sleman.
The event was attended by UNISA Yogyakarta’s Vice Rector 1 for Academic Affairs and Cooperation Taufiqur Rahman, SIP, MA, Ph.D, and Scholarship Coordinator of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni (BKA) Suri Salmiyati, S. Kep, Ns, M. Kes.
Taufiqur Rahman appreciated the good steps taken in improving the character of cadres so that meetings like this must always be encouraged, he advised that Muhammadiyah cadres must be pioneers in good activities.
“One thing that can be emulated from KH Ahmad Dahlan is his pioneering character, being a cadre must always build a pioneering spirit in any situation and place,” said Taufiq.
Taufiq also advised that the scholarship is a mandate, not just about demanding rights, don’t just look at it from the privilege but look at it as a mandate so that in the implementation of lectures it is necessary to apply the 3T principle (Orderly Worship, Orderly Learning, Orderly Organization) “being a student must maintain this balance, these reinforcements must continue to be routinely carried out,” he said.
Meanwhile, Suri Salmiyati expressed the same thing that BIP recipients must be able to become partners in supporting the progress of UNISA Yogyakarta and the Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah Association.
“BIP cadres must have academic and non-academic achievements so that they can provide role models for students,” said Suri.Lukman, one of the BIP cadres, expressed his gratitude for the scholarship given by UNISA Yogyakarta, so for him this gathering was important in maintaining the existence of BIP cadres. “Alhamdulillah, 37 students who received the scholarship from the initial cadres in 2016-2023 were able to attend, although there were still those who could not attend because they had gone home for the Eid holiday,” he said.
