Pre Ners Pledge FIKes UNISA Yogyakarta: Providing Competence For Community Service

A total of 84 prospective professional nurses from the Nursing Study Program of Ners Professional Education, Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta attended the Pre Ners Pledge event at Baroroh Baried Hall on Tuesday (15/04). This event marks the readiness of the students to enter the world of practice and the application of the knowledge they have gained during their education.

The Chairperson of the Nursing and Nursing Professional Education Program of FIKes UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Sarwinanti, S.Kep,Ners.M.Kep.,Sp.Mat, in her report said that the nursing students will soon be deployed to various health facilities, including a number of hospitals and communities, for approximately the next ten months. This placement aims to provide direct experience to students in handling various health cases and interacting with patients and the community.

“For approximately ten months, the students will undergo several stages of practice in various health services. This is a golden opportunity for them to hone clinical skills, apply knowledge, and build professionalism as a nurse,” said Sarwinanti. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining the good name of the alma mater during practice.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FIKes UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Dewi Rokhanawati, S.SiT., M.PH, in her speech gave a deep message to the Ners candidates. Dewi advised the students to make the most of the knowledge they have gained in the practice field. Moreover, Dewi also hoped that the Ners candidates could prove the quality of education they received at UNISA Yogyakarta.

“I would like to convey a message to all the Ners candidates, utilize the knowledge you have gained as well as possible in the practice site later. Show that you are UNISA students who are competent and have integrity,” said Dewi.

“Please take care of yourself physically and psychologically during practice. Do not hesitate to communicate with your field supervisors if you encounter obstacles or problems in the field. We hope that through good communication, any problems can be immediately solved,” she added.

The Pre-Ners Pledge event is an important part of the Ners professional education series at FIKes UNISA Yogyakarta. Through this pledge, it is hoped that prospective nurses will be more motivated to carry out their duties and responsibilities with dedication and professionalism, and make a real contribution to improving the quality of health services in the community.
