The Student Achievement Center of Muhammadiyah `Aisyiyah Universities (PUSPRESMA PTMA) made Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta as the host of the Gathering and Coordination Meeting for student development for all Muhammadiyah and `Aisyiyah Universities (PTMA) throughout Indonesia. The event, which aims to improve the quality of student development and achievement within PTMA, was held in a hybrid manner on Wednesday (14/05) in the courtroom of the Siti Moendjijah building, UNISA Yogyakarta Integrated Campus.
This activity presented competent resource persons in the field of student affairs, namely Dr. Rudianto, M.Si., Vice Rector III of Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU), and Ir. Ahmad Kholid Alghofari, M.T., IPM, Head of Student Affairs Bureau of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). The presence of these two figures is expected to provide insight and effective strategies in developing the potential and achievements of PTMA students.
Chairman of the PTMA Student Gathering Forum (Fosma) who also serves as Vice Rector III of Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD), Dr. Gatot Sugiharto, M.H., in his remarks said that this activity was a concrete step in advancing student achievement throughout PTMA Indonesia.
“We deliberately presented speakers from UMSU because we cannot deny that UMSU has a very proud record of achievement. This success is certainly inseparable from effective communication patterns between the university and its students,” said Gatot.
The Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat., welcomed the forum. Warsiti said that this forum is a very valuable forum for all PTMAs to exchange knowledge and experience in order to improve the quality of student affairs development and ultimately impact on improving student achievement.
“The challenges in the field of student affairs are currently increasingly complex. Forums like this are an alternative solution, not only as a gathering place but also as a means to exchange ideas and constructive ideas. We thank you for the trust given to UNISA Yogyakarta as the host. Hopefully this activity will bring blessings and benefits to the progress of our universities,” said Warsiti.
The event, which was held online and offline, was attended by representatives from various PTMAs throughout Indonesia, showing high enthusiasm and commitment in advancing the field of student affairs within Muhammadiyah and `Aisyiyah. Hopefully, through this forum, there will be a strong synergy between PTMAs in fostering and developing the potential of students to become a generation with achievements and noble character.
