Risalah islam berkemajuan 2

In an effort to realize the values of progressive Islam, Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta has strengthened its commitment in embracing the essence of progressive Islam through the implementation of various basic values that lead to superior conditions and being at the forefront in all aspects of life. Vice Rector I of UNISA Yogyakarta, Taufiqur Rahman, S.IP., MA, Ph.D, highlighted this in preparation for Higher Education Accreditation (APT).

Taufiq explained that the embodiment of these values is reflected in the five basic values that serve as the university’s organizational culture, abbreviated as AMALKU (Akhlak Mulia, Amanah, Profesional, Kolaboratif, dan Unggul). These values become the foundation of the Islamic Life Guidelines for Campus Citizens as well as various other ethical guidelines.

Furthermore, the implementation of progressive Islamic values at UNISA Yogyakarta is manifested through a commitment to always display the best performance and enthusiasm in developing innovations in their respective fields with high ethical standards. This is an important point in providing clear direction for each employee.

In line with the Message of Progressive Islam, UNISA Yogyakarta also affirms the concept of Progressive Women’s Values. The implementation of these values can be seen from the equality maintained between male and female employees in developing careers, creating innovations, and achieving the highest achievements. Efforts to provide support and opportunities for female employees are emphasized, allowing them to continue working optimally without neglecting their role and nature as women.

UNISA Yogyakarta’s success in embracing the Risalah Islam Berkemajuan and Nilai Perempuan Berkemajuan is not only reflected in organizational commitment, but also in concrete actions that form an inclusive and progressive environment for the entire campus community. This not only strengthens the university’s identity, but also provides an inspiring example for other educational institutions in building a strong foundation for sustainable excellence.

Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA) has emphasized its commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy green campus environment. Concrete steps are taken through a series of activities that involve the entire community and have a positive impact on the surrounding environment.

One of the main initiatives undertaken by UNISA is the socialization and implementation of the Lodong Sisa Dapur (LOSIDA) program. This program not only educates, but also involves residents around the campus with the distribution of LOSIDA composter and buckets. This step provides an opportunity for the surrounding community to take an active role in managing kitchen waste efficiently and environmentally friendly.

Not only that, every Saturday at UNISA Yogyakarta is a routine moment for employees to participate in gymnastic activities and undergo regular health checks. This shows serious concern for the well-being and health of campus members, ensuring they remain in top condition to contribute optimally in the academic environment.

Efforts to reduce the use of plastic are also a focus of UNISA Yogyakarta. Through the zero plastic waste campaign, the entire academic community plays an active role in reducing the use of plastic on campus. This step is a real effort to reduce the negative impact of plastic use on the environment.

Dr. Yuli Isnaeni, S.Kep., M.Kep., Sp.Kom, Vice Rector II of UNISA Yogyakarta, emphasized UNISA’s commitment in maintaining the health and welfare of all employees. Yuli realizes that healthy employees, both physically and mentally, can make the best contribution to the progress of the campus. In addition, a clean and green campus environment also has a positive impact on the entire academic community.

Not only focusing on the campus, UNISA Yogyakarta also shows its concern for the surrounding community by conducting socialization on waste management. They believe that the waste problem can be solved with the cooperation between educational institutions and the surrounding community. With its progressive initiatives, UNISA Yogyakarta is not only an educational institution, but also a role model in protecting the environment, health, and welfare for the entire campus community and the surrounding community. This proves their commitment to creating a better environment for a sustainable future.

One of the problems in developing countries is the increase in degenerative diseases, one of which is hypertension. It is estimated that hypertension sufferers will increase rapidly in the next 15 years, especially in developing countries. The negative impacts are quite large, including stroke for the brain, coronary heart disease for the heart blood vessels and for the heart muscle. Given the increasing incidence of hypertension and the danger of complications caused, it is necessary to check blood pressure, uric acid and glucose as well as counseling on blood pressure, blood sugar and uric acid levels to monitor their health conditions more easily.

This community service was carried out by Yekti Satriyandari, S.ST., M.Kes and Fathiyaturrohmah, S.ST., M.Kes along with students from the Midwifery Study Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Aisyiyah University Yogyakarta in Vietnam, precisely in the Old City of Hoi An, especially at the paradise hotel and also the Hoi An Conversation Hall. Activity Objective The purpose of this activity is to provide basic health information to the community about Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar and Uric Acid.

Hoi An is a legendary city with a well-preserved Old Town atmosphere that is visited by many tourists, both international and domestic tourists. In Hoi An there is a Legendary Night where colorful lanterns are lit throughout the city and local food is served around the stunning Hoi An Old Town. With the characteristics of the area in Hoi An, many people work as traders, tourguides until nighttime, which disturbs public health. The tradition of the people in Hoi An is that many elderly women and men work until night to sell along the streets and in the legendary night area. Women who are wives and mothers as well as workers, tend to lead them to work-family conflict related to their main duties as mothers and wives.

PKM activities began with socialization related to the implementation of international service activities to visitors, peddlers in the Conversation Hall area and fellow VICC competition teams. Through this socialization activity, it is hoped that it can attract many participants to participate in the examination so that community service activities can run as expected. Furthermore, preparing the place and means of implementing health checks includes checking blood pressure, uric acid and blood sugar.

Implementation of community service activities at the hotel on April 4 – 5, 2023 at 06.00-08.00 with the target of hotel workers and visitors staying at the hotel. Continued at the Conversation Hall on April 4 – 5, 2023 at 10.00-15.00 with the target of sellers and also VICC contestants.
