LLDIKTI Region V Yogyakarta successfully held a workshop on “Drafting MoU for Joint Resources-Based Cooperation of PTS DIY” at Siti Moendjijah Building, Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta. The event, which was attended by 100 representatives of private universities (PTS) throughout Yogyakarta, became an important milestone in efforts to improve the quality and progress of higher education in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Saturday (24/08).

In her speech, the Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp. Mat., warmly welcomed the initiative of LLDIKTI Region V in facilitating cooperation between private universities.

“This cooperation is a strategic step to strengthen and advance private universities in Yogyakarta. We are honored that UNISA Yogyakarta can host this event,” he said.

In line with the Rector of UNISA, the Head of LLDIKTI Region V Yogyakarta, Prof. Setyabudi Indartono, M.M., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of joint resources for the advancement of private universities.

“By sharing resources, we can improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of education services,” he said.

UNISA Yogyakarta as Role Model

As the host, UNISA Yogyakarta also shared its experience in resource sharing through a presentation by the Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and International Affairs, Moh. Ali Imron, S.Sos., M.Fis. UNISA Yogyakarta is open to collaborating with other private universities in various fields, such as research, community service, and curriculum development.

This workshop is expected to be a starting point for the creation of closer collaboration between private universities in Yogyakarta. Through mutually beneficial cooperation, it is hoped that the quality of graduates of PTS in Yogyakarta can improve and be able to meet the needs of the labor market.
