The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) of Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta continues to be committed to improving international cooperation as well as the quality of education and graduates. One of the concrete steps taken is through a comparative study of the Nutrition study program to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia, which took place on January 3 to 6, 2024.

In his statement, Ali Imron, M.Fis, as Dean of FIKes UNISA Yogyakarta, said that efforts to improve the quality of education in the health sector, especially the Nutrition study program, are part of the university’s vision to become a quality education provider and make a positive contribution to society.

“UNISA Yogyakarta’s Nutrition Study Program is a major source of support for people who need educational services in the health sector. We believe that by conducting a comparative study, we can gain new insights and experiences to continuously improve the quality of our education and contribution,” said Imron.

The main purpose of this comparative study, according to the Head of the Nutrition Study Program at UNISA Yogyakarta, Agung Nugroho, A.MG., MPH, is to learn more about the establishment of a nutrition study and consultation center and the management of education, especially in terms of curriculum. In addition, UNISA Yogyakarta hopes to understand the standard of laboratory equipment used at UiTM.

This is the first step to strengthen cooperation in various fields, including knowledge exchange, curriculum development, and implementation of joint research activities.

With this collaboration, it is expected that UNISA Yogyakarta can continue to contribute positively in the field of health through the implementation of quality education that is relevant to the development of science and the needs of society.

Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA) has emphasized its commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy green campus environment. Concrete steps are taken through a series of activities that involve the entire community and have a positive impact on the surrounding environment.

One of the main initiatives undertaken by UNISA is the socialization and implementation of the Lodong Sisa Dapur (LOSIDA) program. This program not only educates, but also involves residents around the campus with the distribution of LOSIDA composter and buckets. This step provides an opportunity for the surrounding community to take an active role in managing kitchen waste efficiently and environmentally friendly.

Not only that, every Saturday at UNISA Yogyakarta is a routine moment for employees to participate in gymnastic activities and undergo regular health checks. This shows serious concern for the well-being and health of campus members, ensuring they remain in top condition to contribute optimally in the academic environment.

Efforts to reduce the use of plastic are also a focus of UNISA Yogyakarta. Through the zero plastic waste campaign, the entire academic community plays an active role in reducing the use of plastic on campus. This step is a real effort to reduce the negative impact of plastic use on the environment.

Dr. Yuli Isnaeni, S.Kep., M.Kep., Sp.Kom, Vice Rector II of UNISA Yogyakarta, emphasized UNISA’s commitment in maintaining the health and welfare of all employees. Yuli realizes that healthy employees, both physically and mentally, can make the best contribution to the progress of the campus. In addition, a clean and green campus environment also has a positive impact on the entire academic community.

Not only focusing on the campus, UNISA Yogyakarta also shows its concern for the surrounding community by conducting socialization on waste management. They believe that the waste problem can be solved with the cooperation between educational institutions and the surrounding community. With its progressive initiatives, UNISA Yogyakarta is not only an educational institution, but also a role model in protecting the environment, health, and welfare for the entire campus community and the surrounding community. This proves their commitment to creating a better environment for a sustainable future.
