During a socialization event held at the Husnul Khotimah Mosque, Kasihan, on Monday (9/29), it was revealed that this program will target 4,014 children. The target is broad, ranging from students of PAUD and TK ‘Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) to elementary, junior high, and high school students, both from Muhammadiyah and public schools.
UNISA Yogyakarta Vice Rector II, Dr. Yuli Isnaeni, stated that UNISA received a direct mandate from the ‘Aisyiyah Central Leadership to assist in the realization of this program. According to her, this is not just a social program, but part of da’wah (proselytizing).
“This free nutritious meal program is part of ‘Aisyiyah’s da’wah,” said Yuli.
To ensure the success of this massive program, a central kitchen or Nutrition Fulfillment Unit (SPPG) is currently being set up and will be run by volunteers.
The chairperson of the ‘Aisyiyah Central Leadership, Dr. Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, who was present as a keynote speaker, emphasized that ‘Aisyiyah’s goal is not to seek profit. “In promoting this program, ‘Aisyiyah does not aim to make a profit, but rather to contribute materials and energy to the struggle to provide nutritious food for children,” she said. The goal is one: to help educate the nation’s future generation through good nutrition.
