Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta held the Unisa Charity Fun Run 2025 around the Unisa Yogyakarta campus on Sunday (12/10/2025). The Unisa Charity Fun Run 2025 agenda is a manifestation of Unisa Yogyakarta’s commitment as a health-oriented campus and an effort to foster a spirit of sharing with others.

“We have organized the Unisa Charity Fun Run 2025 as an effort to reflect Unisa’s commitment to being a health-conscious campus. We want to encourage the academic community and the general public to start getting used to a healthy lifestyle,” said the Rector of Unisa Yogyakarta, Warsiti.

Warsiti emphasized that this event is not just a running event, but also aims to raise awareness of the importance of healthy living. “As a health-oriented university, we will continue to encourage the community and the entire academic community to always practice healthy living behaviors,” said Warsiti.

Warsiti said that 500 participants were registered for the 2025 Unisa Charity Fun Run. However, due to the high enthusiasm of the community, many additional participants joined spontaneously.

As part of Unisa Yogyakarta’s concern for education, a donation of Rp20 million was also distributed at this event. The donation was given to outstanding children at the orphanage.

“Through this activity, we want to foster a spirit of sharing, in line with the social values and spirit of Al-Ma’un that is the spirit of this university. Hopefully, this assistance can be a stimulus for them to continue to be enthusiastic and achieve in the future,” explained Warsiti.

The Social Welfare Council of the Regional Leadership of ‘Aisyiyah Special Region of Yogyakarta (PWA DIY), Sri Handayani, expressed her appreciation for Unisa Yogyakarta’s concern for the education of children in orphanages.

“We are very happy with the attention given by Unisa Yogyakarta to our children who really need support. They live in dormitories, far from their parents, and some of them don’t even have families who can be there for them or help them,” said Sri.

Sri revealed that the assistance from Unisa Yogyakarta is very beneficial for the younger generation. “Education is the foundation of the future and the key to a better and more successful life. Especially for children who may have been neglected,” said Sri.

Sri also hopes that Unisa Yogyakarta will continue to grow and provide even greater benefits to the community. “We also hope that other orphanages will receive assistance from Unisa Yogyakarta in the future,” said Sri.

It is known that the Unisa Charity Fun Run 2025 is part of the Unisa Festival, which is a series of events celebrating the 34th anniversary of Unisa Yogyakarta. Previously, various activities were also held, such as tree planting, the International Culture Festival, and the Kick Off for New Student Admissions (PMB).
