UNISA Holds Workshop to Improve the Quality of Communication Science Laboratory Services

The Communication Science Study Program at Aisyiyah University (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a workshop entitled “Improving the Quality of Communication Science Laboratory Management Services” which took place in the 2nd floor Meeting Room of the Siti Moendjijah building. This activity was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. This workshop is part of a series of grant programs for the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM).

The workshop on Improving the Quality of Lab Services presented a speaker from the National Development University (UPN) Veteran Yogyakarta, Panji Dwi Ashrianto. This activity was attended by lecturers from the Communication Science Study Program, Head of UPT Laboratorium, and representatives of lab assistants from UNISA Yogyakarta. In his presentation, Panji emphasized the importance of improving the quality of laboratory services as an effort to support a more effective and efficient teaching and learning process. He also delivered various strategies and best practices in laboratory management that can be applied at UNISA Yogyakarta.

The Head of Communication Studies Program at UNISA Yogyakarta, Ade Putranto said, “This workshop is very useful for us in improving the competence and quality of services in the laboratory. With the knowledge and experience shared by Mr. Panji, we are optimistic that we can implement various innovations that will improve our laboratory performance.” Ade said.

In addition to the presentation sessions, the workshop also included interactive discussions and question and answer sessions that allowed participants to share experiences and find solutions together to various challenges faced in laboratory management.

The event was closed with a visiting lab session to review the facilities and infrastructure owned by UNISA Yogyakarta’s Communication Science Study Program. The follow-up plan of this activity is to improve the quality of laboratory services at UNISA Yogyakarta through the preparation of SOP Governance. This workshop also confirmed UNISA’s commitment to continuously improve the quality of education through collaboration and development programs that are relevant to the needs of the times.

The PKKM grant program that funded this activity is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia to encourage the improvement of the quality and competitiveness of higher education in Indonesia. Through this program, it is expected that various educational institutions can collaborate and share knowledge for mutual progress.
