UNISA Yogyakarta Architecture Students Attend the Avian Campus Roadshow Talk Show

There was an unusual sight in the lecture hall of the Siti Moendjijah Building at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) in Yogyakarta on Tuesday (October 28, 2025). The paint manufacturer Avian Brands hosted a campus talk show to share industry insights with 75 students from the Architecture Program.

Avian Brands’ visit was part of a campus roadshow titled “Coloring The Future 2025.” More than just a typical talk show, the event also featured a Painting Experience session that allowed students to directly experience the application of the products.

This event specifically targeted Architecture students in their 3rd, 5th, and 7th semesters, who will soon be directly involved in the world of construction and material design.

Avian Brands brought in two of its experts as speakers. They were Regina Sukoco and Suyanto Hadi, who serve as Marketing Managers. Both thoroughly discussed how paint innovations can influence the aesthetics and functionality of a building.

Ar. Hendratmo Cesmamulya, S.Ars., M.Arch., IAI, a lecturer in the Architecture Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UNISA, urged the students in attendance not to waste this rare opportunity. He emphasized that knowledge from industry practitioners is vital.

“Make the most of this opportunity! Pay close attention to the speakers’ presentations, as their expertise is deeply connected to and relevant for the field of architecture you are pursuing,” Hendratmo stated in his opening remarks.

Sure enough, the students’ enthusiasm immediately soared. The Q&A session was highly interactive, reflecting the keen curiosity of these aspiring architects. They eagerly vied to ask questions ranging from future color trends and eco-friendly paint technologies to the challenges of material application in the field. This collaboration successfully bridged academic theory with industry realities.
