UNISA Yogyakarta Graduated 333 Students, Rector and ‘Aisyiyah Central Leader Deliver Inspirational Messages

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held an Open Session of the 23rd Period Graduation Senate at the Convention Hall of Walidah Dahlan Mosque, UNISA Yogyakarta Integrated Campus, Thursday (17/4/2025). A total of 333 students from master, bachelor, applied bachelor, and diploma programs were officially graduated as graduates of UNISA Yogyakarta.

In this solemn and passionate moment, 236 graduates or 71.1 percent of them achieved the cumlaude title. The average GPA of undergraduate and applied undergraduate graduates reached 3.65, with the highest GPA of 3.99. Meanwhile, the average GPA for master’s programs was recorded at 3.76, and diploma 3.56.

The Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat., in her speech expressed pride and emotion for the achievements of the graduates. “Today is the real proof of the long struggle you have taken, with perseverance, enthusiasm, and support from your parents and loved ones,” she said.

Furthermore, Warsiti highlighted the successful implementation of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka Curriculum (MBKM) at UNISA Yogyakarta. As many as 88.8 percent of graduates have undergone the MBKM curriculum and were able to complete their studies faster. In fact, the fastest study period reached 3 years 3 months 26 days, thanks to their involvement in industrial internship programs, student exchanges, humanitarian projects, and entrepreneurial activities.

The Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta also shared other important achievements, including the launch of the Faculty of Medicine and a new postgraduate program, the Master of Nursing. She invited the audience to continue to support UNISA Yogyakarta in preparing a generation of excellence, competitiveness and character.

At the end of her speech, Warsiti delivered a moral message to all graduates. “Continue to innovate, maintain integrity, and live the good values that have been instilled while studying at UNISA. Never sacrifice honesty for short-term goals,” she said.

On this occasion, the Chairperson of ‘Aisyiyah Central Leadership, Dr. Apt. Salmah Orbayinah, M.Kes., also gave an inspiring speech. She emphasized that UNISA Yogyakarta continues to improve the quality of educational services every year.

“It is proven by the university accreditation that has been achieved to achieve superior criteria. Not only institutions, several study programs at UNISA have also achieved superior predicates. This is concrete evidence that Unisa Yogyakarta always strives to improve quality in order to serve students,” she said.

Salmah also highlighted the improvement in the quality of the lecturers. “Now most of them have doctoral degrees and InsyaAllah, in the near future there will be professors produced from Unisa Yogyakarta,” she added.

The graduation ceremony was also attended by the Head of LLDIKTI Region V DIY as well as the ranks of the Education and Research Council of PP Muhammadiyah and the Education and Research Council of PP Aisyiyah and the Daily Board of Trustees of UNISA Yogyakarta, who also expressed their appreciation for UNISA Yogyakarta’s contribution in producing quality and noble young people.
