UNISA Yogyakarta Holds 6th Unisa Youth Game, Themed ‘Brave to Show Up and Be Excellent’
Universitas Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta officially opened the 6th Unisa Youth Game (UYG). This annual event is a sports competition between high school / vocational students throughout Indonesia. This activity aims to encourage the spirit of sportsmanship, healthy competition, and character development of the younger generation.
The opening ceremony began with remarks from the Head of the UNISA Yogyakarta Admissions Bureau as well as the 6th UYG Chief Executive Officer, Bdn. Intan Mutiara Putri S.ST, M.Kes. In her speech, she mentioned that there were 5 branches of competition followed by UYG participants this year.
“This activity was attended by all participants from 5 branches of competition, namely marching, mural competition, essay competition, English story telling competition and also creative videos,” said Intan at Baroroh Baried Hall, Saturday (21/6/2025).
Intan said that the total number of participants in the 6th UYG was 258 participants from 61 schools. “Insha’Allah, the total prizes today are more than Rp25 million for the whole competition,” she said.
She also hoped that this UYG activity could have a positive impact and become a place to hone competencies. “So that this activity can also improve competence, which this year’s theme is Dare to Perform Ready to Excel. Where the excellence of UNISA always accompanies in all our current activities,” he added.
In line with that, the Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat., reminded that the theme Dare to Perform Ready to Excel is not just a slogan, but has a deep value meaning.
“We, UNISA Yogyakarta, also want to instill values to all young people to have the courage to perform and mental readiness, then continue to learn and develop, so that you will be ready to become a superior generation,” explained Warsiti.
As a symbol of the start of the competition, Warsiti struck a gong which was greeted with a standing ovation from the participants, organizers, and the academic community of UNISA Yogyakarta who attended the event.
