Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta has once again achieved achievements at the national level. Through the Bureau of Public Relations and Protocol, UNISA Yogyakarta won an award in the Indonesia DEI & ESG Awards (IDEAS Awards) 2025 organized by PR INDONESIA. This award was given for UNISA Yogyakarta’s success in communicating programs based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, especially in the Social category, through its flagship program entitled Sport and Art Every Week (SAE). The award was presented at the Menara Peninsula Ballroom Jakarta, Thursday (19/6).

IDEAS Awards is a prestigious annual event that evaluates and appreciates the strategic communication initiatives of public relations practitioners in carrying out the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability (ESG) in various public relations programs. This year, the competition was attended by dozens of institutions from various sectors, including universities, private companies, state-owned enterprises, to ministries and state institutions. A total of 35 institutions passed the curation and won the IDEAS 2025 trophy in an award ceremony held in Jakarta, as reported by PR INDONESIA.

Sinta Maharani, M.I.Kom., Head of Public Relations and Protocol at UNISA Yogyakarta, said that the award was the result of UNISA’s commitment to creating a physically, mentally and socially healthy campus culture. “The SAE program is not only a routine sport, but also a space for artistic expression, togetherness, and cross-unit communication that is packaged in a fun and holistic way,” said Sinta.

Furthermore, she added that SAE was initiated as an answer to the sedentary lifestyle in the university environment. Every two weeks, the UNISA academic community is invited to gather for gymnastics, play sports such as volleyball and table tennis, and express themselves through dance and choir. Not only that, the program is complemented by healthy eating together and periodic physical and mental health checks.

“Through this program, we want to foster mutual awareness that maintaining health does not always have to be formal and rigid, but can be started from simple activities done together with a spirit of togetherness,” he added.

The SAE program is also integrated with the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDGs number 2 (no hunger), SDGs 3 (healthy and prosperous life), SDGs 4 (quality education), and SDG 17 (partnership). Collaboration with partners such as Puskesmas Gamping, PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital, and the active participation of various study programs at UNISA Yogyakarta make this program more inclusive and impactful.

The IDEAS Awards 2025 is an encouragement for UNISA Yogyakarta’s public relations to continue creating strategic communication programs that are oriented towards sustainability and welfare. “We believe that PR is not just about conveying information, but creating change and inspiring healthy and harmonious lifestyles,” concluded Sinta Maharani.

With this award, UNISA Yogyakarta further strengthens its position as a campus with a superior health perspective, based on progressive Islamic values, and highly committed to socially responsible communication practices.
