This prestigious forum brings together young people from ASEAN, India, and Bangladesh to discuss and collaborate on strategic regional issues, such as education, technology, climate change, and sustainable development.
On the first day, Wahyu and other participants engaged in discussions with inspirational speakers from Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore regarding the role of young people in addressing climate change, as well as how technology and artificial intelligence (AI) can serve as efficient and cost-effective solutions to support regional sustainability.
The event continued with a workshop session at UNCC Bangkok, where participants learned to map sustainability issues and design a circular economy under the guidance of experts. As the highlight, each group presented an innovative project based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that offered real solutions to challenges in the ASEAN region.
Wahyu said he was proud to be part of this international forum.
“Participating in AYSF was a valuable experience. Not only did I gain new insights, but I also learned about the importance of cross-border collaboration in creating a sustainable future for Southeast Asia,” he said.
Through this participation, Wahyu embodied the spirit of “Impactful Science and Technology Education,” while demonstrating that UNISA Yogyakarta students are capable of making tangible contributions on a global scale, upholding the values of ‘Aisyiyah—excellence, empowerment, and positive impact on the world.
