UNISA Yogyakarta’s SPPG Kitchen Will Soon Be Operational, Ready to Support The Free Nutritious Meal Program

‘Aisyiyah University (UNISA) Yogyakarta will soon be ready to operate the Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) kitchen to support the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG). Based on verification by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), the readiness of UNISA Yogyakarta’s SPPG has reached 90 percent.
“From Unisa Yogyakarta, it is probably 80-90 percent (SPPG kitchen readiness),” said Bachelor of Indonesian Development Activists (SPPI) of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Avira Durrotul Rasyida, after verifying the location of the UNISA Yogyakarta SPPG kitchen, which is in Notoprajan, Ngampilan, Yogyakarta, Monday (10/3/2025).
Avira explained that for this location verification, checks were carried out starting from the location of the kitchen, area, and equipment. In addition, the kitchen is also ready to operate in the near future. The verification team also provided a number of notes to optimize the SPPG kitchen.
When mentioned, when is the possibility of the UNISA Yogyakarta SPPG kitchen, Avira made it possible in the near future. “Probably after Eid. Earlier we also saw the materials, manpower, kitchen equipment, kitchen safety,” said Avira.
Yuli said that a number of inputs from the BGN team that verified the location were immediately followed up. It is also hoped that after the Eid moment, it can operate immediately. “God willing, it will be ready after Eid. This week we will fix it,” said Yuli.
Yuli hopes that the presence of SPPG UNISA Yogyakarta can support the MBG program and benefit future generations. “The main target is ABA kindergartens in the Ngampilan area, elementary school students, and maybe some junior high school students. UNISA is also planning to provide for pregnant women, but waiting for BGN’s approval. Hopefully, with this, nutrition will be fulfilled and the generation will be healthy,” said Yuli.
