Aisyiyah University (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a graduation ceremony at the Convention Hall of Walidah Dahlan Mosque on Saturday (9/3). A total of 305 students have officially graduated in this period, marking a brilliant achievement in higher education.

In the solemn ceremony, the Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat, expressed her pride for the achievements. “UNISA has achieved excellent accreditation, God willing, this will provide great benefits for our graduates,” she said enthusiastically.

However, this achievement also brings greater responsibility for the entire UNISA academic community. Dr. Warsiti emphasized her commitment to continue guarding and maintaining this excellent title by improving the quality and relevance of the curriculum and paying attention to the dynamics of changes that occur in the external and internal environment.

Furthermore, as many as 30 graduates of Midwifery and Medical Laboratory Technology of UNISA this period have successfully obtained employment in several Regional General Hospitals and Health Centers throughout the country. This shows the quality of UNISA’s education that is recognized by industry and the wider community and the rapid absorption of alumni.

The Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region V, Prof. Setyabudi Indartono, MM, Ph.D., in his speech expressed his appreciation to UNISA Yogyakarta for achieving superior accreditation and its activity in participating in the government’s Merdeka Learning Campus program.

In addition, the Head of LLDIKTI Region V also emphasized the skills that UNISA Yogyakarta graduates must have to succeed in the real world. Among others, skills in problem solving, the ability to work in teams well, high performance ethics, the ability to analyze for proper decision making, and effective communication skills to sell ideas.

UNISA Yogyakarta’s success in producing qualified and up-to-date graduates who quickly respond to the needs of the industry is expected to be an inspiration for other universities in the country. Hopefully, this achievement will motivate the entire academic community of UNISA Yogyakarta to continue working and making a positive contribution to the nation and state.

UNISA Yogyakarta’s “Intan Marsekal” community service team wins best video from Ministry of Research and Technology

The community service team “Intan Marsekal” from Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta won the best video, which was appointed as one of the university representatives to attend the Ministry of Education and Culture‘s DRTPM Community Service Results Seminar.

Intan Marsekal itself stands for Intensification of Independent Fisheries Cultivation based on Local Resources which is the name of the community service program implemented… The team won 3rd place for the Best Service Video at the results seminar held at Novotel Samator Surabaya on Friday (1/3) to Saturday (2/3).

“We are grateful to have the opportunity to share our experience in the results seminar organized by DRTPM Kemendikbudristek. Moreover, we received an award in the Best Video category ranked 3rd, “explained Arif, as the Head of the Intan Marshal Team.

Arif added that the service result seminar agenda was a good opportunity for the team to share about the implementation of community service. The inputs given by the reviewer will make the next service more qualified and more useful.

The Intan Marshal team consists of 4 lecturers, namely Arif Bimantara, S.Pi., M.Biotech. from the Biotechnology Study Program as Team Leader, Dr. M. Nurdin Zuhdi, S.Th.I., M.S.I from the Physiotherapy Study Program and Ade Putranto Prasetyo Wijiharto Tunggali, S.I.Kom., M.A. and Rinta Arina Manasikana, S.I.Kom., M.A. from the Communication Study Program. Students were also involved in this service to increase social sensitivity and communication skills in the community.

The team held a results seminar with 90 other community service teams from 69 universities across Indonesia. UNISA Yogyakarta itself encourages each lecturer to be active in research and service activities so that every year it manages to get funding grants from DRTPM Kemendikbudristek.

Universitas Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA) won a prestigious award at the PR Indonesia Award (PRIA) 2024 held in Denpasar, Bali, Thursday (7/3). In the category of Digital Channel, Instagram Social Media Sub Category, UNISA won the Bronze Winner.

UNISA Yogyakarta’s public relations officer, Sinta Maharani, M.IKom, said that this achievement was the result of the public relations team’s efforts and dedication in managing the university’s Instagram social media creatively and effectively.

This success demonstrates UNISA Yogyakarta’s commitment in utilizing digital platforms to increase visibility and interaction with the public, as well as strengthening the institution’s image as a progressive and innovative university.

“By winning this award, UNISA is further motivated to continue innovating and making positive contributions to the world of education and society through digital platforms,” said Sinta.

As quoted from the PRIA committee release, in its ninth year, PRIA received 699 entries from 219 institutions. The works spanned various categories, such as Owned Media, Digital Channel, Crisis Management, Annual Report, PR Program, PR Department, and CSR Communication.

A total of 16 competent judges were deployed to assess all public relations (PR) works, from senior PR practitioners, journalists, academics, to PR Guru.

Asmono Wikan, founder and CEO of PR INDONESIA, appreciated this year’s PRIA participants, especially those who have participated in this competition in previous years because they have shown an increase in quality. Asmono added, “The winners we are looking for are those who are able to show fresh ideas and dare to take the initiative to be more innovative and creative.”

The Information Technology (IT) Study Program at Aisyiyah University Yogyakarta (UNISA) underwent a field assessment conducted by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Informatics and Computers (LAMINFOKOM) on Wednesday to Thursday (6-7/3) at the UNISA Yogyakarta campus. The two assessors were Dr. Ir Djoko Soetarno, DEA and Dr. Ir Putu Sugiartawan, S.Kom., Master of Computer Science, Master of Agribusiness, IPM.

In her speech, the Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp, M.Kep, Sp.Mat, emphasized that this field assessment or visitation is an important part of external quality assurance. Dr. Warsiti also expressed optimism about the potential of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), especially the Information Technology Study Program, with many students active in international activities and the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Furthermore, Warsiti thanked the assessors for their insights for the development of UNISA Yogyakarta.

Meanwhile, the assessor from LAMINFOKOM, Dr. Ir Djoko Soetarno, DEA, stated that the assessors were present as partners and to conduct discussions and confirmations related to the data that had been submitted. “We are not looking for mistakes, but clarification of the data that has been sent,” he said.

The opening ceremony of the field assessment was attended by all leaders of the rectorate, dean of FST, Head of the Information Technology Study Program, and the entire task force team.

This assessment is an important step in ensuring the quality and excellence of UNISA Yogyakarta’s Information Technology Study Program, reflecting the institution’s commitment to continuous improvement and meeting national quality standards in higher education.

UNISA Communication Study Program participated in the gathering of the Association of Communication Science Study Programs (SILAT APIK) PTMA 2024 officially held at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) on February 28-29, 2024. This activity involves all Communication Studies Programs under the auspices of PTMA from various universities throughout Indonesia.

UNISA Communication Studies Program sent eight delegates to take part in a series of activities which included workshops, visits to various cultural points in Surakarta, City Tour to visit Lokananta Records and ended with a student competition related to communication science.

The competitions include; Public Service Advertisement (PSA), Broadcasting Reportage, Photography, Public Relations Crisis and Digital Content. From several categories, the student delegation of UNISA Communication Science Study Program won 5 (five) wins.

Reza Al Khifari won 1st place in the PR Crisis category, Najwa Azzuro won 2nd place in the PR Crisis category, Rangga Luthfi Ardian won 3rd place in the Digital Content category, Larindi Ayu Kusuma won 2nd place in the Broadcast Reportage category and Khairil Qalbi Alfiansyah won 3rd place in the Public Service Advertisement category.

“Through this competition, it is a great opportunity for students to stay in touch and establish close relationships with friends from universities throughout Indonesia, gain interesting experiences during the contest and can motivate students to be more enthusiastic in developing their potential and achievements both on campus and off campus.” said Ade Putranto, Head of the UNISA Yogyakarta Communication Science Study Program.
