UNISA KKN Socializes Sakinah Family
Students of KKN Regular 04 Notoprajan University of ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta once again showed their concern for the surrounding community. This time, they successfully held a socialization of the Sakinah Family and free blood sugar health checks in the courtyard of the RW 02 Serangan hall, Notoprajan Village, Kemantren Ngampilan, Yogyakarta City.
The event, which took place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, attracted 55 housewives in the area. The main objective of this activity is to increase the community’s understanding of the concept of a sakinah family and early detection of diabetes.
Sakinah Family
As a resource person, Mrs. Sri Lestari Linawati, S.S., M.S.I., AIK lecturer at UNISA Yogyakarta, provided very useful material on the importance of building a sakinah family. In addition to listening to the material, participants were also invited to participate in interactive activities such as making a family puzzle from origami paper.
Free Health Checks and Positive Community Response
Before the main event began, the KKN 04 health team provided free health checks and blood sugar checks for all participants. The enthusiasm of the community was very high, as evidenced by their eager attendance.
Mrs. Tari, as the PKK RW 2 in Serangan, expressed her appreciation for the event. “The event was interesting and successful. Many people attended and were active in participating in the activities,” she said.
In line with Ibu Tari, Ibu Tanti as the head of PKK RW 02 in Serangan hopes that socialization activities like this can continue. “Hopefully this Sakinah Family socialization can be useful for the surrounding community,” she said.
