PKM Monitoring In Improving Food Security and Family Economy
The PKM team of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta visited Kalak Ijo Hamlet, Guwosari Sub-district, Bantul on Sunday, June 09, 2024. The PKM team consisted of Erni Saharuddin, S.Sos., MPA, Annisa Khumaira, S.P., M.Biotech and Rigel Nurul Fathah, SE, M.Ak, Akt. The arrival of the PKM team this time was to carry out monitoring of the Bucket Fish Cultivation (Budikdamber) activities carried out by partners, namely the ‘Aisyiyah Guwosari Branch. The monitoring results show that the development of catfish is quite good, found in 1 group of murky water because the manager is not routine in changing water.
The PKM team in this activity provided input to pay attention to good catfish cultivation methods including if the catfish are difficult to eat, the feed needs to be replaced with a better one, the water replacement cycle is 4-7 days (if the water is cloudy it can make catfish lazy to eat) this is due to lack of oxygen and high ammonia levels. In addition, EM4 can be added to reduce ammonia formation.
Previously, the PKM program was held on April 28, 2024 and was fully funded by HIBAH RISETMU. The material presented included institutional strengthening, entrepreneurship and the practice of doing budikdamber.
“We are very happy to be able to contribute to the empowerment of Aisyiyah Guwosari Branch members,” said Mrs. Erni Saharuddin, a lecturer in UNISA’s Public Administration Study Program as well as the chief executive of the program. “We hope that this program can help improve the knowledge and skills of the community in applying the Budikdamber system and increase the awareness of ‘Aisyiyah Guwosari Ranting members of the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial spirit as a provision to improve food security and the family economy,”
‘Aisyiyah Guwosari Branch members are very enthusiastic about this program and hope to improve their ability to do fish farming through the Budikdamber system. “We from the leadership of Aisyiyah Guwosari received new knowledge from the campus of ‘Aiyisyah University Yogyakarta, namely the Budikdamber system. I personally feel very grateful and very grateful to the Yogyakarta ‘Aisyiyah University campus for providing knowledge, education and assistance, in addition to increasing knowledge for us, it is also hoped that this can increase income for the members of the ‘Aisyiyah branch,” said Mrs. Dian as Secretary of Aisyiyah Guwosari Branch.
This program is still being monitored by the PKM team, with this program it is also hoped that members of the ‘Aisyiyah Guwosari Branch can increase community knowledge and skills in applying the Budikdamber system and be able to foster an entrepreneurial spirit as a provision to improve food security and the family economy.
