The Student Executive Board of the Student Family (BEM KM) of the University of ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held the Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) of Ormawa and UKM UNISA Yogyakarta for the 2023/2024 Period. In Siti Moendjijah Building, 4th floor, room 14 (SM.4.14), integrated campus of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta and through the Zoom Meeting link, Saturday (04/05/2024).

Corlita Zerine as Chairperson of the UNISA Ormawa 2023/2024 RKAB Committee revealed in her speech, a total of 21 University Level Student Organizations (Ormawa) and the Yogyakarta ‘Aisyiyah University Student Activity Unit were involved in the activity.

“This activity aims as a space for program exposure from each Ormawa and Student Activity Unit (UKM) in the next period with the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni,” said Zerine.

On the other hand, Esa Jongko Budi Angkoso as UNISA Student President (Presma) for the 2023/2024 period revealed that this activity was a momentum for integration and implementation of ideas for the next period “I hope that this RKAB moment will become a space for elaborating ideas of thought which will then be implemented in work programs that spread benefits to students,” said Esa.

Yogyakarta, May 7,2024 Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA Yogyakarta) held a peace rally to support Palestine as a form of support and solidarity with the Palestinian people who continue to suffer from aggression and disproportionate military attacks from Israel. This action involved the entire academic community, ranging from lecturers, employees, staff, to students. At 10:00 am, Siti Moendjijah Building, UNISA Yogyakarta.

“The death toll has reached almost 35,000 people and the wounded reached more than 77,867 people, most of whom are women and children. Even today, most of the Gaza Strip has been reduced to rubble. The supply of food and humanitarian aid to Palestine is strictly monitored and restricted by the Israeli army, so that hunger becomes a very heartbreaking sight.” Said prof. Dr. Mufdhillah

In the event that took place in the UNISA Yogyakarta campus, Prof. Dr. Mufdhillah, S.SiT., M.Sc, read out a statement containing eight important points:

  1. Strongly Condemn Israeli Aggression: UNISA Yogyakarta strongly condemns the aggression and disproportionate military attacks, mass arrests of Palestinian civilians, destruction of public facilities, especially health facilities, and blockade of humanitarian aid.
  2. Condemns Support from Other Countries: UNISA also condemns the attitude of countries such as the United States, France, Britain, Germany, and others who continue to provide support and assistance to Israel in its aggression against Palestine.
  3. Calls for UN Intervention: calls on the United Nations to force and facilitate negotiations and a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine.
  4. Support for the International Criminal Court (ICC): The university supports the efforts of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to prosecute Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli figures involved in the genocide against Palestinians.
  5. Criticism of Arab Organizations and Countries: The action also condemns the weak stance of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Rabithah Alam Islami, and Arab countries that tend to allow Israel to attack and kill Palestinians.
  6. Not Opening Diplomatic Relations with Israel: UNISA Yogyakarta asked the Indonesian government not to open diplomatic relations with the aggressor and perpetrator of genocide, Israel.
  7. Support for Palestinian Independence: Based on human rights and the constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, UNISA Yogyakarta requests the strengthening of diplomacy with other countries to realize an independent and sovereign Palestinian state.
  8. Call to Indonesian Society: This action invites all levels of Indonesian society to continue to pay serious attention to the conflict between Israel and Palestine and provide moral, material and spiritual support for the struggle of the Palestinian people.

This action to support Palestine was carried out simultaneously by all Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah universities throughout Indonesia, this is a concrete manifestation of awareness and concern for the fate of the Palestinian people who continue to suffer.

Universitas Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta hosted the socialization of Bintara Kompetensi Khusus (BAKOMSUS) POLRI in cooperation with the Indonesian National Police Yogyakarta Special Region of Medicine and Health.

The event, which was held in the Baroroh Baried Hall of Siti Walidah building on Wednesday (24/04) itself became very important for students who are interested in a career in the health police.

The socialization of BAKOMSUS initiated by the Yogyakarta Police aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the procedures and a comprehensive overview of the program to prospective applicants.

Rosiana Nur Imalah, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., coordinator of UNISA Yogyakarta’s Career Development Center (CDC), expressed her pride that UNISA Yogyakarta was trusted to be one of the four universities in Yogyakarta chosen to organize the BAKOMSUS Police recruitment.

“Prior to the start of the BAKOMSUS recruitment process, UNISA Yogyakarta, through the CDC, was asked to be the organizer of the socialization to prospective applicants,” explained Rosi.

The event was held in a hybrid setting and attended by 30 participants, and involved 98 other participants through the zoom platform. Participants were given the opportunity to interact directly with resource persons from the Yogyakarta Police, who provided in-depth insight into the requirements and selection procedures for POLRI BAKOMSUS.

Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta has made another outstanding achievement in the 2024 Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). A total of 8 UNISA student teams won funding in this competition, confirming their position as pioneers of entrepreneurship at the university level, Thursday (02/05).

According to the Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni (BKA) of UNISA Yogyakarta, Yekti Satriyandari, S.ST., M.Kes, this P2MW achievement marks a significant increase compared to the previous year.

“Alhamdulillah, at the LLDIKTI Region V level, we managed to rank 4th. This is quite a proud achievement for us,” said Yekti.

This achievement proves the dedication and high commitment of UNISA Yogyakarta students in developing their entrepreneurial skills and potential. Yekti also expressed her gratitude to all those who have provided support and encouragement to the UNISA student team.

“We would like to thank all those who have supported and encouraged this achievement. Hopefully this achievement will inspire other students to continue to excel and develop,” he added.

Yogyakarta, – In commemoration of the National Information Disclosure Day (HAKIN), the Communication Science Study Program of Aisyiyah University (Unisa) Yogyakarta again showed its commitment in supporting healthy public information disclosure. On April 30, 2024, the Head of Unisa Communication Science Study Program attended the HAKIN event and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Yogyakarta Regional Information Commission (KID).

The event took place at the DIY Communication and Information Agency (Diskominfo) office, and was attended by representatives of several well-known universities. The activity began with singing the Indonesia Raya song, reading prayers, and continued with the showing of the KID DIY profile video. The welcoming speech was given by Mrs. Riris Puspita Wijaya Kridaningrat, S.T., M. Acc., Head of Public Information and Communication Division of Diskominfo DIY. In her speech, Mrs. Riris emphasized the importance of HAKIN commemoration as an effort to encourage better and sustainable public information disclosure in DIY.

The MoU signed between Unisa and Diskominfo DIY is an important step in strengthening collaboration between the academic world and communication and informatics practitioners. Through this partnership, both parties hope to support each other in achieving common goals, including in improving public information disclosure literacy in DIY.

The signing of this MoU is also a tangible manifestation of Unisa’s support in promoting easier and more open access to public information, so that community participation in DIY development can continue to increase.

With this close collaboration, Unisa Communication Science and Diskominfo DIY will continue to strive to improve the literacy of healthy public information disclosure for regional progress and development.
