Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the welfare of the community through community service programs. This time, the UNISA community service team managed to get a grant from DRTPM Directorate General of Diktiristek Kemendikristek RI to develop the INTAN PRIBUMI program: Intensification of Tilapia Fish Cultivation through the Application of Micro Bubble Technology, Sunday (22/09).

This program targets the Mina Sejahtera group of fish farmers who face challenges in increasing aquaculture productivity. Through training and application of microbubble technology, it is expected to improve the quality and quantity of tilapia production, resulting in an increase in farmers’ income.

Microbubble Technology: An Innovative Solution for Fish Farming

The microbubble technology applied in this program has several advantages, including:

  • Increase oxygen levels: Microbubble can increase dissolved oxygen levels in water, so that fish can grow more optimally.
  • Energy efficiency: The use of electrical energy is much lower compared to conventional aeration systems.
  • Improves water quality: Microbubble helps keep water quality stable, minimizing the risk of disease in fish.

Training and Mentoring Support Program Success

The INTAN PRIBUMI team has conducted intensive training for Pokdakan Mina Sejahtera members. The training covered various aspects, from intensive tilapia farming techniques, water quality monitoring, to product marketing. In addition, the program is also equipped with a digital branding workshop to help farmers market their products more widely.

“We are very enthusiastic about this program. The microbubble technology and training provided are very useful for us. We are sure that with the application of this technology, our tilapia production will increase significantly,” said Muhammad Kosim, Secretary of Pokdakan Mina Sejahtera.

As a university committed to community development, UNISA Yogyakarta continues to strive to produce innovations and solutions that can benefit the wider community. The INTAN PRIBUMI program is one of the concrete examples of UNISA Yogyakarta’s efforts in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. With the success of this program, it is expected to inspire other educational institutions to participate in community development through community service activities.

Pon Xxi

University of ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta students have made another proud achievement. Savitri Mirzaeila, a student of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy study program at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes), won a bronze medal in the National Sports Week XXI Aceh – North Sumatra 2024. This brilliant achievement was achieved in the category of women’s 50m rifle 3 positions shooting at the Rindam Mata Ie shooting range, Aceh Besar, Thursday (19/09).

PON XXI

Savitri’s success is certainly a surprise in itself, considering that she is a physiotherapy student who is also active in the world of shooting sports. The combination of rigor as a physiotherapist and focus as a shooting athlete has led her to achieve proud achievements at the national level and become a talented young athlete.

This is the second PON that Savitri has participated in after PON Papua 2021, for her own training preparation Savitri took 3 months to conduct training camps in Bali from July on a regular basis to improve technique and physical fitness, as well as mental training, and participated in various competitions to gain experience and atmosphere.

Savitri revealed that for the preparation of the PON yesterday itself, the preparation was with an intensive program, before that she participated in the pre-pound, shooting itself at least getting 1-3 minimum qualification scores (MQS) and Savitri finally pocketed 4 MQS and successfully qualified for PON XXI Aceh North Sumatra.

Before that in the previous year he still participated in various events to increase flight hours. While in Jogja, despite being hindered by inadequate field facilities Savitri regularly practiced at the boarding house to maintain fitness, even if it was just lifting weapons or dry firing and light physical exercise.

“Support from coaches, family and the community is also an important factor in preparation, many provide additional motivation to achieve achievements at this level,” she said.

Savitri added “For PON XXI this time I dropped in 3 numbers, namely 10m Air Rifle Women and 50m Rifle 3 Position Women, 10m Rifle Mixed Team, although this is not my best performance, in the last PON Papua I won 1 Silver Medal and 1 Bronze Medal in that number.”

Some of the obstacles that existed in the XXI PON event had made Savitri lose focus, but that did not discourage her, even though she had failed in the 10m air rifle and 10m Rifle mixed team numbers due to loss of focus and the burden she felt but she was still eager to prepare herself in the 50m Rifle 3 Position number.
“Certainly I am very grateful to be given the trust to be able to win this bronze medal in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women Team number, which can include the mainstay number for me,” said Savitri.

Known Shooting Sports Since Early

Savitri has known shooting sports since the age of 13 when she entered the Junior High School (SMP) level. Several times became a shooting champion at the Regency level, and finally was chosen to represent Buleleng Regency at the XIIIth Bali Porprov 2017 in Gianyar.
The first step was to represent Bali in the National Championship in the youth category (under 18th), and managed to get several medals. In July 2018, due to team needs, Savitri began to be dropped in the senior class in preparation for the 2020 PON Papua which took place in 2021.

“Alhamdulillah, PON Papua itself is one of the new histories for the Bali shooting team because it won a medal in the number I played after several years without a title. After that, I routinely participated in several championships in the Province and at the National level to fulfill the next PON MQS, and Alhamdulillah, I was given the trust again to represent at the 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra PON,” he said.

Savitri has hopes for the next year to be even better than today, and yesterday’s mistakes can be a lesson and can also be a motivation for her friends.

Potensi Siswa 1

In an effort to develop students’ potential, Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta through the Psychology and Nursing Study Programs initiated an innovative program: Establishment of Self Recognition Unit (UKD). This program was implemented through community service at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Wates.

Student Potential

Adolescence is a crucial phase in self-development. Unfortunately, many teenagers still have difficulty recognizing their potential and life goals. Recognizing this, UNISA seeks to provide solutions through the UKD program.

“This program aims to help students get to know themselves better, including their potential, interests, and talents,” said Zahro Varisna Rohmadani, S.Psi, M.Psi, Psychologist, Head of Community Service at UNISA Yogyakarta.

In the UKD program, students participate in various activities, from interest and talent assessment to motivational training. “We also provide education about the importance of maintaining mental health and the dangers of drug abuse,” added Zahro.

One activity that attracted attention was batik training with ecoprint technique. Apart from practicing creativity, this activity also teaches students to respect the environment.

The results of the UKD program are very encouraging. Dwi Sri Handayani, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Nursing Lecturer at UNISA said, “After participating in this program, students’ knowledge about mental health and the dangers of drugs increased significantly.”

Principal of SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Wates, Endro Haryadi, S.T., M.Pdi, highly appreciated this program. “We hope this program can continue and provide wider potential benefits for our students,” he said.

Inovasi

PKM Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta has once again provided innovations to improve the quality of life of the community. This time, UNISA Yogyakarta’s community service team focused on elderly health by introducing “Marning”, a special mattress for proning position. The proning position, which is lying face down, is known to effectively reduce shortness of breath, especially in patients with respiratory disorders.

Innovation

The proning position does provide significant benefits, but it is often uncomfortable and difficult for patients, especially the elderly. Seeing this, the Unisa lecturer team consisting of Luluk Rosida S.ST., M.KM, Eny Fitriadi S.ST M.Kes, and Andry Ariyanto M.Fis, developed the “Marning” mattress which is ergonomically designed and easy to use.

“This ‘Marning’ mat is not only comfortable, but also safe and affordable. In addition, patients can do it independently at home,” said Luluk, one of the researchers.

The PKM UNISA team also collaborated with the IT team to develop an oxygen saturation checking tool that is integrated with a mobile-based application. That way, patients and health workers can monitor oxygen levels regularly and more easily.

“This innovation is expected to provide convenience for the elderly in managing their respiratory conditions,” added Danur Wijayanto M.Cs., a member of the IT team.

The application of the “Marning” mattress innovation at Posyandu Lansia Griya `Aisyiyah Baiturahmah Patangpuluhan Yogyakarta was welcomed enthusiastically by the elderly. They feel more comfortable and confident in doing proning positions.

“I feel more relieved after trying this mattress. My shortness of breath is reduced,” said one of the elderly participants.
The research and development of the “Marning” mattress received full support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) through funding in 2024. This shows that the government strongly supports innovation efforts that have a direct impact on society.
