The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) of Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a pre-clinical pledge for 84 students of the Physiotherapy Professional Education Study Program. The event, which took place in Baroroh Baried Hall, was an important milestone for professional students before going directly into the world of practice.

Saying the Promise

In his speech, Hilmi Zadah Faidullah, S.St., M.Sc., as the Head of the Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy Professional Education Study Program, said that all students who took the pledge had gone through various preparations, starting from debriefing through the General Registrar (Panum) to the pre-clinical exam.

“We have ensured that all students are ready to face challenges in the world of practice. They will rotate in various practice sites spread across Java and outside Java,” said Hilmi.

Hilmi also advised the students to always maintain the good name of UNISA by showing high professionalism and ethics.

“The identity as a UNISA student must be maintained through manners and ethics in the field. Starting from the way of communicating, behavior, to taking attitudes, everything must be done by upholding the norms of politeness,” he said.

Uniquely, the pre-clinical pledge ceremony this time was held in a hybrid manner, namely online and offline. A total of 68 students attended the pledge ceremony in person at Baroroh Baried Hall, while 16 other students attended online. This shows that UNISA Yogyakarta continues to adapt to technological developments and provide convenience for students.

After the pledge ceremony, the students will be placed in 71 practice areas that have been prepared. With a large number of practice sites, students are expected to gain diverse experiences and expand their professional network.

Layanan Prima

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) of Universitas `Aisyiyah Yogyakarta (UNISA) held another studium generale entitled “Excellent Service Management in Health Care Facilities”. The event, which took place in the Convention Hall of Walidah Dahlan Mosque on Friday (25/10), attracted 430 students from various study programs within FIKes.

As the main speaker, Dr. Pradono Handojo, MBA, MHA, who also serves as President Director of theJakarta Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital, shared experiences and tips for success in managing health facilities. The hospital he leads is known as one of the best hospitals in Indonesia, so his presence in this event was highly anticipated by the participants.

In his presentation, Pradono emphasized the importance of good management and service excellence in healthcare. He explained how RSI Cempaka Putih is able to provide quality services to patients by involving all stakeholders, from medical personnel, non-medical staff, to the patients themselves.

“Excellent service management is not just a slogan, but must become a work culture inherent in every individual in the hospital. By providing the best service, we will not only increase patient satisfaction, but also the reputation of the institution,” said Dr. Pradono.

The Dean of FIKes UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Dewi Rokhanawati, S.SiT., M.PH, in her speech expressed the hope that this studium generale can provide useful provisions for students.

“The students present here are the next generation of the nation who will play an important role in the world of health. Through activities like this, we want to equip them with knowledge and skills that are relevant to the demands of the job market,” said Dewi.

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta successfully enlivened the spirit of Youth Pledge by holding a lively Sport and Art Everyweek (SAE). This bi-weekly activity this time presents a special surprise by inviting 1000 students to participate in gymnastics together, followed by a happy dance flashmob set to an energetic Javanese song, Saturday (26/10).

SAE which this time took the theme “Play, Create, and Eat Together” became a place for the entire academic community of UNISA Yogyakarta to unwind while strengthening the relationship.

UNISA Vice Rector I, Dr. Sulistyaningsih, S.KM., MH.Kes in her speech expressed her appreciation for the enthusiasm of all participants who attended.

“SAE is an oasis for all of us to refresh our minds and bodies after undergoing routine work. Hopefully we can continue to carry out this activity and be more lively in the future,” she said.

Flashmob Happy Dance which became the highlight of the event was successfully carried out by 1000 students. With compact and energetic movements, the students managed to create a festive and entertaining atmosphere. The choice of Javanese songs as dance accompaniment is also an added value, as well as a form of preservation of the nation’s culture.

The Bureau of Public Relations and Protocol (BHP) of UNISA as the initiator of SAE hopes that this activity can be a forum for students and employees at UNISA to develop interests and talents in the field of sports and arts. In addition, SAE is also expected to improve the welfare of employees and students both physically and mentally.

In an effort to improve the quality of school library services, especially in the Gunungkidul area, Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta together with a number of related institutions held a National Seminar with the theme “Collaboration and Competition Strengthen Library Development in the Era of Information Technology.” Thursday (24/10). The event, which took place at the Gunungkidul Regency Dispussip Hall, was attended by school librarians, representatives of related agencies, and academics.

The seminar was a forum for stakeholders to share knowledge and experience in developing school libraries. The speakers, such as Agung Wibawa, SIP. from the Gunungkidul Regency Dispussip, and Abdul Wahid Aziz, S.I.Pust. from SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Library, highlighted the importance of school library transformation in facing the digital era.

“Collaboration is the key to advancing school libraries,” said Irkhamiyati, Chairperson of FPPTMA who also represented UNISA Yogyakarta.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation between schools, library services, universities and communities to create a conducive literacy ecosystem.

Formation of HIMPUSMA Gunungkidul

One important outcome of the seminar was the formation of the Gunungkidul Association of Muhammadiyah School Librarians (HIMPUSMA). The formative team that has been formed will design the organizational structure and work program of HIMPUSMA. It is hoped that HIMPUSMA can become a forum for school librarians to exchange ideas, share information, and improve their competence.

In addition to the seminar and the formation of HIMPUSMA, the event was also marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Gunungkidul District Secretariat and UNISA Yogyakarta and UAD. This cooperation is expected to strengthen synergies in school library development, such as through training programs, collection development, and library services based on information technology.

The Dispussip of Gunungkidul Regency also showcased various innovative services that can be utilized by school libraries, such as the mobile car service, Lajang Cakap (Gunungkidul Children’s Pick-Up Service for Prospective Library Cadres), and others. These services are expected to increase people’s interest in reading, especially school children.

With strong collaboration between various parties, it is hoped that school libraries in Gunungkidul can become inspirational learning centers and be able to meet the information needs of students. In addition, the existence of HIMPUSMA Gunungkidul is expected to encourage continuous improvement in the quality of school library services.

Kmi Expo 2024

Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta has made another proud achievement. Two UNISA student teams have successfully passed the selection and are entitled to participate in the Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) Expo 2024. This prestigious event will be held on October 23-25, 2024 in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.

The two lucky UNISA Yogyakarta student teams are SK Sepatu Kinclong and ZaCoil. Each team consists of three students who are passionate about developing their entrepreneurial potential. SK Sepatu Kinclong offers innovations in shoe care, while ZaCoil comes with unique and interesting products.

The theme of KMI Expo XV 2024, “Wirausaha Rakyat Merdeka”, is very relevant to the entrepreneurial spirit upheld by the two UNISA student teams. They are expected to show creativity, innovation, and high fighting spirit in competing with participants from various universities in Indonesia.

Yekti Satriyandari, S.ST, M.Kes, as Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni (BKA) of UNISA Yogyakarta, revealed that the participation of students in KMI Expo 2024 has a very strategic purpose.

The success of the two UNISA Yogyakarta student teams in qualifying for KMI Expo XV 2024 is a clear proof of the quality of human resources owned by this university. UNISA Yogyakarta is always committed to facilitating and supporting the development of student potential, especially in the field of entrepreneurship.

It is hoped that the participation of the two UNISA student teams in the KMI Expo XV 2024 can inspire other students to dare to be entrepreneurs and contribute to building the Indonesian economy.

“Through this event, we want to encourage students to continue developing their creativity skills as young entrepreneurs. In addition, they can also learn to interact with each other, work together, and innovate as a team,” said Yekti.
