The Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta along with the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau represented UNISA in attending the Safari Syawalan 1445 H event organized by the Sleman Regency Government. The event took place on Tuesday (30/4) at the Sleman Regency Parasamya Hall.

The Regent of Sleman, Sri Kustini, in her speech conveyed the good news about the surge in the number of tourists who reached 330 thousand during Lebaran this year in Sleman. The surge has had a significant positive impact on the regional economy, with the poverty rate dropping by 0.22 percent.

To reduce poverty, the Sleman Regency Government has taken several steps, including through the Sleman Pintar scholarship program in which UNISA Yogyakarta is one of the partners, as well as providing assistance to small industries and direct cash assistance to the community.

In addition, the stunting rate has also decreased by 2.7 percent in Sleman.

Facing the increasingly urgent waste problem, the Sleman Regency Government has taken strategic steps by starting independent and sustainable waste management. One of them is by operating the Tamanmartani Integrated Waste Disposal Site (TPST), where waste is processed into industrial fuel. Cooperation with Semen Indonesia was also carried out to convert waste into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), which is a temporary fuel.

Education to the community about household waste management and waste management at the urban village level is also carried out as a further prevention effort.

In his speech, the Governor of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono, reminded that Syawalan is the right time to strengthen national unity. This tradition plays an important role in fostering human values, nationality, and mutual benefit. The governor also invited to celebrate Syawalan as a valuable moment between regional leaders and the community, which allows to understand aspirations and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood that have been established. The moment of Syawalan is expected to be the right time to reflect and work together towards noble goals.

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta through the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) in collaboration with the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau held a nonbar event for the Indonesian national team competing in the semifinals of the AFC Cup U23.

What made this event even more special was the dominance of women in the audience. In a euphoric atmosphere, the female audience not only provided vocal support for the Indonesian national team, but also showed their love for soccer.

UNISA Yogyakarta’s Vice Rector I, Taufiqur Rahman, Ph.D, was impressed by the overwhelming enthusiasm of the audience, especially since the majority of them were women.

In his speech, Taufiq said, “The achievement of our national team is really extraordinary to penetrate to the semifinals, this is what makes the interest that comes here so extraordinary, especially when I see most of the supporters are women.”

Not only an event to support the national team, this event was also an opportunity for the audience to enjoy consumption and musical entertainment provided by the committee. While waiting for the kick-off, the audience was invited to have fun and feel the warm atmosphere of togetherness.

Dr. Filosa Gita Sukmono, a communication expert who is also the manager of the PSHW UMY team, before the match began gave his views on the match that would take place between Uzbekistan and Indonesia in front of hundreds of spectators in attendance. Door prizes in the form of national team jerseys were distributed to spectators who could answer questions from the host to add to the excitement of the event.

With the dominance of women at the national team nonbar event, it shows that the spirit of sports knows no gender boundaries. This event is not only a place to support the Indonesian national team, but also a momentum to celebrate togetherness and the spirit of sportsmanship among students and the people of Yogyakarta.

Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta once again held its much anticipated annual event, the UNISA Youth Games (UYG). The event, which was attended by 34 high schools across Yogyakarta and Central Java, was themed around Mental Health, raising the important issue of adolescent mental wellbeing.

This year, UYG presented three competitions, namely Marching Troops, Photography, and Mural, which became a competition for high school students to express their creativity. Hari Akbar Sugiantoro, chairman of the committee, explained that the theme of Mental Health was chosen to provide a space for creativity to the participants in an effort to build their mental health.

Dr. Warsiti, Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, in the opening ceremony of UYG on Saturday (27/04) emphasized the importance of this event as a place to showcase the achievements of high school students.

“This competition is not only about winning, but also about rewarding the hard work and dedication of the participants,” she said.

Warsiti added that UNISA Yogyakarta also provides Achievement Scholarships for all champions as a form of appreciation for their achievements.

Head of the Admissions Bureau, Intan Mutiara Putri, SST, M.Keb revealed that the UNISA Youth Games is not just a competition, but also an important platform to celebrate the spirit of competition, promote mental health, and encourage the values of togetherness among high school students.

“UYG is an integrated event between education and art that is held with the spirit of togetherness with the theme ‘Relax There is Unisa’,” she explained.

This event is also a momentum for UNISA Yogyakarta to emphasize its commitment in supporting the development of mental health of the younger generation and giving them a platform to express themselves through their various talents. Hopefully, activities like UYG can continue to inspire other educational institutions to participate in efforts to improve the mental well-being of young people.

Visitasi akreditasi 4

On Thursday (25/04), the Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM) Study Program under the Faculty of Health Sciences of Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta received an accreditation visitation from the assessors of the Institute for Self-Accreditation of Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). The visitation was conducted directly in the courtroom of Siti Moendjijah Building.

Two assessors from LAM-PTKes, Prof. Dr. Sri Darmawati, M.Si and Iis Herawati, S.Pd., M.Kes, have been delegated to review TLM data and infrastructure in accordance with the information submitted by the study program.

Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat, as Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, revealed that with the superior status that UNISA has achieved, the responsibility is even greater to maintain the quality standards of higher education. According to him, obtaining superior accreditation will provide assurance to stakeholders, students, and the community that TLM graduates have quality according to national standards.

Prof. Sri Darmawati expressed her hope that the accreditation visitation process through document checking and infrastructure monitoring can run smoothly with the cooperation of the UNISA team. She also asked for help so that the checking process can be completed quickly.

In an effort to improve the quality and standards of higher education in the health sector, UNISA Yogyakarta continues to be committed to maintaining quality in producing qualified graduates who are ready to compete in the world of work. All parties, including lecturers, students, and administrative staff, play an active role in supporting this accreditation process to achieve optimal results.

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta achieved a brilliant achievement by successfully passing the funding of 7 Student Creativity Programs (PKM) in 2024. The competition organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (KEMENRISTEKDIKTI) of the Republic of Indonesia is a stage for students to showcase their creativity and innovation in various fields, Saturday (24/04).

The Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK, which organizes this program, aims to guide students to become individuals who understand the rules, obey the rules, and have creativity, innovation, and objectivity in enriching intellectual diversity.

Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs and Alumni (BKA) UNISA Yogyakarta, Yekti Satriyandari, S.ST., M.Kes, expressed her gratitude for the achievement. According to her, this achievement is the result of the hard work of the BKA team, especially in the Creativity and Entrepreneurship Reasoning Coordinator, as well as the Unisa PKM Center Team.

“Within a narrow deadline, our team managed to prepare PKM proposals and provide assistance to students, even though at the same time other Puspresnas competitions were also taking place. The spirit of the students and the PKM Center Team remains high, and we hope that this year the Unisa PKM team can make achievements at Pimnas,” said Yekti.

The achievements of UNISA Yogyakarta this year are the same as those obtained in the previous year, UNISA Yogyakarta also managed to pass 7 PKM teams, showing consistency in providing support and guidance to students to excel at the national level.

This success is not only a source of pride for UNISA Yogyakarta, but also strengthens its position as one of the universities committed to supporting and developing the potential of creativity and innovation of its students for greater contribution to the progress of the nation and state.
