The Bachelor of Midwifery and Midwifery Professional Education Study Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) of Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta received a field assessment visit in order to achieve UNGGUL accreditation from the assessors of the Institute for Self-Accreditation of Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes). This assessment will take place for three days, starting from July 8 to 10, 2024.
The assessment team consists of three people, namely Era Nurisa Windari, S.ST., M.Kes, Sri Mulyati, AmKeb, S.Pd., M.Kes, and RR. Catur Leny Wulandari, S.SiT., M.Keb. They will assess the quality and readiness of the Midwifery Study Program in the context of reaccreditation in order to achieve the title of Superior.
In her opening remarks, UNISA Yogyakarta Rector Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat emphasized the university’s commitment to continue to encourage the improvement of the quality of education in the Midwifery Study Program.
“The midwifery study program is the forerunner of UNISA Yogyakarta, which has an extraordinary spirit in advancing and providing the best for our stakeholders,” said Warsiti. She also emphasized the importance of the quality of graduates who are able to compete in the world of work with qualified competencies.
Assessor Era Nurisa Windari appreciated the spirit of UNISA Yogyakarta Midwifery Study Program in welcoming this reaccreditation.
“The spirit of UNISA Yogyakarta midwifery study program is very burning in pursuing excellent accreditation. A few years earlier, I had been assigned to provide an online assessment because it was still during the pandemic,” said Era. Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a “2024 UNISA Yogyakarta Stakeholders’ Gathering” on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Convention Hall of Masjid Walidah Dahlan UNISA Yogyakarta. The event was attended by various UNISA partners from the government, alumni, graduate users, high school teachers and private partners from Yogyakarta, Central Java and some outside Java who collaborate with UNISA Yogyakarta.
The Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat, opened the event with a warm welcome to all invited guests. In her speech, she expressed her gratitude and pride for the achievements of UNISA Yogyakarta, which has now turned 33 years old and managed to achieve superior accreditation. He also expressed his hope that this event can be an effective platform to meet, discuss, and collaborate to advance education and create career opportunities for UNISA students and graduates.
Furthermore, Vice Rector 4 for Cooperation and International Affairs, Ali Imron, S.Sos., M.Fis, conveyed UNISA’s achievements in the last three years. He highlighted various academic achievements, improvements in the quality of education, and international cooperation that has been established by UNISA. These achievements are clear evidence of UNISA’s commitment to improving the quality of education and the relevance of study programs to the needs of the times.
The event then continued with a discussion guided by the Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and International Affairs, Cesa Septiana Pratiwi, Ph.D. In this session, participants from various backgrounds provided constructive input and suggestions for the future development of UNISA. Some of the suggestions were related to development and quality improvement, curriculum and learning, career development cooperation and student assessment and feedback.
Ms. Rani from KPU Yogyakarta suggested that UNISA’s curriculum be designed to provide greater benefits for alumni. Representatives from PKU Gombong Hospital and Ms. Umi from PKU Muhammadiyah Temanggung requested that UNISA provide interaction training for students and CI training for employees of PKU Temanggung Hospital. Regarding adaptability and work resilience, Mr. Heka appreciated the work resilience, adaptability, and understanding of UNISA students in making products.
The “2024 UNISA Yogyakarta Stakeholders’ Gathering” event was successful and full of enthusiasm from the participants. It is hoped that the results of the discussion and input received can be taken into consideration in developing UNISA Yogyakarta’s strategy in the future, so that it can continue to contribute to advancing education and producing graduates who are superior and ready to face global challenges.
UNISA Yogyakarta’s Physiotherapy Study Program invited Benidektus Adi Prianto, S.Fis., M.Fis a physiotherapist from the highest caste football team of the Indonesian league 1, namely persib bandung at the resource lecture for semesters 2 and 6 with the theme “Minimize Risk On Field, maximize Performance On Sport Laboratory”. Monday, June 24, 2024 at Baroroh Baried Hall, Unisa Yogyakarta integrated campus.
Sofwal Jamil as a physiotherapy lecturer at Unisa Yogyakarta revealed that the lecture this time was very special because of the presence of the Persib physiotherapist who had just won the Indonesian league 1 so that UNISA Yogyakarta physiotherapy students had a new perspective from Beni’s experience and knowledge when dealing with athletes and patients. “This momentum is also a form of strengthening motivation for physiotherapy students to be more enthusiastic in undergoing lectures,” he said.
Beni revealed that he was very happy to be able to meet again with his seniors who are now lecturers, one of whom is Tyas Sari Ratna Ningrum, Shofhal jamil, Ali Jafar and several other seniors.
The persib physiotherapist also said that currently he has the task of maintaining and restoring the player’s condition to stay fit (not injured) so that players can play in matches optimally.
“Maximize all forms of learning that have been given by lecturers and must remain careful so that when handling patients in the field you can avoid unwanted things,” he said. In front of the 2nd and 6th semester students, Beni also advised to keep checking before, during and after training.

The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) and BEM of the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences, and Humanities of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a social service activity at the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Grubug Orphanage, Jati Sarono, Nanggulan Sub-district, Kulon Progo Regency (9/6). In this activity, BEM FIKes and BEM FEISHum UNISA Yogyakarta collaborated with the Social Service, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection of Kulon Progo Regency, which was then called BEM Sharing Hapiness (BSH) 2024.
Wahyuni Fanlai, as the head of the committee, revealed that this activity is a work program of the Asosma (Religion, Social, and Society) department of BEM FIKes UNISA which then collaborates with BEM FEISHum UNISA Yogyakarta which implements human care actions.
“This activity is themed BEM SHARING HAPPINES which is BEM as sharing happiness, we hope that our arrival can give a little happiness to friends and orphanage children. Through the knowledge and knowledge that is shared, hopefully it can be useful for the younger siblings and all of us who are here. The running of the event this morning cannot be separated from the intervention of donors from various parties who have provided donations for the running of the event this morning, “Wahyuni said.
In his remarks, Ilham Ramadan as the Governor of BEM FIKes UNISA Yogyakarta said that this activity was a social action of students in implementing the Tri Dharma of higher education.
“This social activity is an implementation in higher education about community service and is our concern for fellow human beings. This activity is in collaboration with BEM Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences, and Humanities, hopefully with our activities in the future can be a motivation for students to care more about social and humanitarian issues,” said Ilham.
In her speech, Ades Adelia Puspitasari as the Governor of BEM FEISHum UNISA Yogyakarta said that BSH is a means for students to always provide benefits to the social community.
“With this spirit of collaboration, we raise the theme, One Step in Sharing, One Vision in Togetherness which hopes to foster sensitivity to the social environment, strengthen a sense of togetherness and care for each other. Through this activity, hopefully it will be a small step that can provide real benefits for ourselves and the environment.” Ades said.
Deputy Dean of UNISA’s FEISHum, Nurfitri Mutmainah, S.IP., M.PA added that she hoped that the BSH could provide opportunities to improve knowledge, skills and happiness for children.
“This activity is an activity that must be carried out by universities as a form and commitment of universities to help the community in terms of both community empowerment and increasing knowledge to the community. The target on this occasion is the Nanggulan Orphanage which hopes that through this activity it can really benefit all the younger siblings, which can increase knowledge and skills and provide happiness for the younger siblings which is in accordance with the name of our program, namely “Sharing Happiness” so that the younger siblings must be happy.”
Zamroni, as the Head of the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Orphanage, said that the program implemented was a very useful activity for the children at the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Orphanage.
“As the chairman of the orphanage board, I would like to welcome and thank the UNISA students for their arrival and the program carried out at this orphanage, hopefully it can strengthen our relationship between UNISA and the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Orphanage, hopefully the knowledge channeled will be useful for our children at the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Orphanage” said Zamroni.
This activity also received support from the Kulon Progo Regency Office of Social Affairs, Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection. In his remarks Mr. Rosiman, S.ST as a representative of the agency expressed that community participation in helping social movements is very important.
“The organization of social activities is a form of community participation in helping the government in social welfare, the tasks of the government are many and if there is no role from the community then the task cannot be carried out optimally.
On behalf of the Kulon Progo Regency Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Service, we hope that all the good things done by the ladies and gentlemen of the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Orphanage can become charity. And we would like to thank our friends from the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKes) and BEM of the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences, and Humanities of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta who have held social service activities at the Muhammadiyah Nanggulan Grubug Orphanage,” said Mr. Rosiman.
In the BSH activity, the committee organized the delivery of material about healthy snacks to children followed by 40 children with a maximum age range of 12 years. After the presentation of the material, the committee provided PMT, which is the fulfillment of nutritional needs to stimulate growth and development in children before entering adolescence. The Social Service of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection provides a nutritious lunch in BSH activities. The hope is that by providing balanced nutrition, the nutritional needs of children can be met.
After the series of events ended, the committee held games with orphanage children participants for sensory stimulation that can hone cognitive abilities in children. BSH activities also collected donations totaling Rp. 1,210,00, which were then handed over to the Orphanage manager to help the Orphanage’s operations. It is hoped that with the BSH activity, students can be moved to initiate social activities as a humanitarian mission.
