Kunjungan Kerjasama

Jakarta, October 11, 2024 – Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta paid an official visit to the Jakarta Islamic Hospital (RSIJ) Cempaka Putih in order to strengthen the cooperation relationship between the two institutions, especially in the field of health and academic development. The visit was led by UNISA’s Vice Rector IV for Cooperation and International Affairs, M. Ali Imron, M.Fis, and attended by 25 leaders from the deans, heads of study programs, as well as heads of institutions and bureaus of UNISA Yogyakarta which also followed up on RSIJ’s visit to UNISA Yogyakarta last month.

Cooperation Visit

In his speech, the Chairman of RSIJ Cempaka Putih, Dr. Agus Syamsudin, welcomed UNISA’s visit. He expressed his appreciation for this opportunity for cooperation and highlighted the importance of synergy between universities and hospitals. “Dr. Jack and friends, including Dr. Eko, are well. In addition to RSIJ Cempaka Putih, we also have several other hospitals such as Pondok Kopi Hospital, Indramayu, Muhammadiyah Bandung Hospital, and Klender Mental Hospital. With this extensive network, concrete and beneficial cooperation can be established immediately,” said Dr. Agus.

Dr. Agus also added that he would like to start the development of the best medical rehabilitation clinic in Jakarta that will combine the advantages of both parties. “At UNISA, medical rehabilitation is one of its specialties. Early next year we should start building the best medical rehabilitation clinic in Jakarta,” he said.

This cooperation visit is expected to provide significant added value, both for UNISA Yogyakarta and RSIJ Cempaka Putih, with several key points proposed:

UNISA Yogyakarta will be given a practice field for lecturers and students. Hospitals that may not have had time to innovate, can get new ideas from universities for joint research and international publications (scopus). Doctors from RSIJ Cempaka Putih who are also lecturers are expected to strengthen collaboration because they are in one Muhammadiyah organization.

Dr. Agus also mentioned that RSIJ Cempaka Putih has a training center that has been certified by the Ministry of Health, so that development programs such as Professional Credit Units (SKP) can be carried out more easily. He emphasized the importance of cooperation that is not only limited to internships, but also mutually beneficial joint development, as well as quality internships that must be paid for because students help the hospital’s operations.

Vice Rector IV of UNISA Yogyakarta, M. Ali Imron, M.Fis, in his speech expressed his gratitude for this opportunity to stay in touch. “Alhamdulillah, we from UNISA are allowed to stay in touch with RSIJ Cempaka Putih. We have excellence in the health sector and see how complex this hospital is, which involves many professions. This can be an important input in curriculum development at UNISA,” said Ali Imron.

He also explained that UNISA Yogyakarta has several excellent programs in architecture and medical rehabilitation that can be synergized with RSIJ Cempaka Putih, including the latest technology-based therapies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and mirroring.

During this cooperation visit, Ali Imron presented three main focuses:

Professional internship: UNISA Yogyakarta will send students who have graduated and have STRs for internships at RSIJ Cempaka Putih, with the best 10% from each batch selected. This program also supports RSIJ’s plan to recruit health workers from university partners. Professional teaching: UNISA Yogyakarta will collaborate with RSIJ in a clinical educator program to strengthen clinical education. Joint research: UNISA Yogyakarta has a Master of Midwifery program with Health Technology Assessment (HTA) excellence that can be developed with RSIJ. This research is expected to improve the acceleration and efficiency of health services.

During this visit, UNISA Yogyakarta also emphasized the importance of research collaboration to evaluate services and accelerate innovation at RSIJ Cempaka Putih. With close cooperation between academics and health practitioners, it is expected that hospital services will be optimized.

“Thank you for the warm welcome. We hope, with the good practice here, we can promote RSIJ Cempaka Putih to other Muhammadiyah hospital networks,” concluded Ali Imron.

This collaborative visit is expected to strengthen the relationship between UNISA Yogyakarta and RSIJ Cempaka Putih, and expand cooperation in academics, research, and health services.
