UNISA Yogyakarta Improves Education Quality Through ISO 21001:2018 Certification

As an excellent university, Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta continues to improve its education quality standards. One of the efforts made is by achieving ISO 21001: 2018 certification. This ISO certification audit was conducted on February 13-14, 2025.

Standardizing the quality and quality of education is very important for an educational institution. With standards, educational institutions can measure the achievement of quality and quality of education from time to time. Currently, educational quality standards that are widely adapted by universities are ISO 9001 and ISO 21001: 2018. However, not all universities apply this quality standardization.

ISO 21001:2018 is a quality management system standard for educational institutions. This standard focuses on increasing the satisfaction of students, beneficiaries, and education personnel. With the implementation of ISO 21001:2018, UNISA Yogyakarta shows its commitment to provide the best educational services for all stakeholders.

Vice Rector I of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Sulistyaningsih, S.KM., MH.Kes said that the ISO monitoring is very useful for UNISA to maintain quality standards. “Input from the auditors is very useful for improvements that must be made to improve the quality standards of higher education,” said Sulistyaningsih. The ISO 21001:2018 certification is proof of UNISA Yogyakarta’s commitment to quality education. UNISA Yogyakarta will continue to improve the quality of education in order to produce qualified and highly competitive graduates.
