Unisa Yogyakarta Provides Free Health Services at Mu’allimin’s 106th Anniversary

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta enlivened the 106th anniversary of Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta by providing free health services for the community. The activity, which took place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, was a concrete manifestation of the collaboration between Unisa Yogyakarta and Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in supporting the health of students, teachers, employees, and the Sedayu community and its surroundings.
The event, which was held at the Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Integrated Campus, Jalan Suroto 5 Padukuhan, Bandut Lor, Argorejo, Bantul, took place from 07.00 – 11.00 WIB. Hundreds of participants from various circles, including Mu’allimin students, teachers, employees, their families, and the general public, enthusiastically utilized the health services provided.
The Unisa Yogyakarta health team provides comprehensive services which include blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks. In addition, there are uric acid checks, physiotherapy vestibular tests, and health consultations with general practitioners.
This health service is handled by a professional team from Unisa Yogyakarta consisting of two general practitioners, two physiotherapy lecturers, four physiotherapy students, and four students from the Federation of Rescue Health Team (FRESHT) Student Activity Unit (UKM). The presence of this multidisciplinary team shows Unisa Yogyakarta’s commitment to providing holistic and quality services to the community.

More than just examinations, the Unisa Yogyakarta team also provided health education to the participants. This education aims to increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining health, including tips on maintaining blood pressure, controlling blood sugar levels, and preventing common diseases.
Unisa Yogyakarta’s active participation in this Milad activity is in line with the university’s vision and mission to contribute to the health and welfare of the community through science-based approaches and community service. The collaboration with Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is also a tangible manifestation of synergy between educational institutions in providing a positive impact on the local community.
