The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Mendikdasmen RI), Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti M.Ed. reminded thousands of worshipers during Tarhib Ramadan 1446 H Aisyiyah University Yogyakarta to prepare mentally, prepare faith to carry out fasting. He invited them to always try to fill this month of Ramadan with the practices that the Prophet recommended.

Hopefully we will always try to fill this month of Ramadan with the practices recommended by the Prophet,” said Abdul Mu’ti, after attending the Tarhib Ramadan event ‘Strengthening Public Virtues in Society and Nation’ at the Walidah Dahlan Mosque, Aisyiyah University (UNISA) Yogyakarta, Tuesday (25/2/2025).

Abdul Mu’ti hopes that after the fasting month, all will become pious people. He was also grateful that the Tarhib Ramadan 1446 H event with the theme Strengthening Public Virtue in Society and Nation could run well.

“Alhamdulillah, Unisa Yogyakarta’s Tarhib Ramadan event was solemn, festive, and very impressive to me. Hopefully this can be part of the motivation and also increase our mental and spiritual readiness to fulfill the fasting of Ramadan 1446 H, “said Abdul Mu’ti.

Chairperson of BPH Unisa Yogyakarta, Dr. Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, M.M., MSi said that Unisa Yogyakarta is part of Muhammadiyah’s charity, and Unisa Yogyakarta continues to strive for progress. “Insha’Allah, this university will provide many benefits for all da’wah interests,” said Siti Noordjannah.

She also appreciated the Tarhib Ramadan 1446 H Unisa Yogyakarta event. According to her, this agenda is very important, related to the efforts of the nation’s citizens, the elites to strengthen the efforts to strengthen public policy.

Rector of Unisa Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat said that Tarhib Ramadan was specially packed for Muhammadiyah teachers and students throughout Yogyakarta. It is known that 5,000 students and teachers attended this activity. “Besides being able to stay in touch directly with the Minister, this gathering also introduces Unisa Yogyakarta closer to students / teachers,” said Warsiti.

Warsiti said Tarhib Ramadhan is expected to be a means to prepare for the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H. “We make this Ramadan a meaningful momentum, the right time to renew spiritual commitment, improve self quality, and improve relationships with Allah SWT and fellow humans. This is a very valuable time for each of us to reflect, improve ourselves, and strengthen our faith to face the challenges of life, strengthening virtue in all aspects of life,” he said.

Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah (UNIMUDA) Sorong visited Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta, Thursday (20/2/2025). This visit was in the context of a comparative study to the Faculty of Medicine, UNISA Yogyakarta.

It is known that UNIMUDA will establish a Medical Education Study Program. Representatives from UNIMUDA also conducted a comparative study, learning from the Faculty of Medicine UNISA Yogyakarta which was first established.

Chairperson of the UNIMUDA Sorong Task Force, dr. Farida Fauziah said that she had many discussions with a number of campuses, including UNISA Yogyakarta for the establishment of the Medical Study Program. “We do a lot of idea shopping. Study at Unisa to get a lot of ideas,” said Farida.

Farida said that there are many things that need to be learned, which is a challenge for her to prepare the curriculum and other preparations. “There must be a lot of stimulus to quickly connect,” she said.

Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a Mid-Year Work Meeting (RKTT) on February 19-20, 2025 in Kaliurang. This activity is a routine agenda for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of work programs, program achievements, and the use of resources that have been determined. The aim is to measure the mid-year performance indicators 2024-2025 and budget absorption in that period.

The RKTT was attended by 64 participants consisting of heads of units and bureaus within UNISA Yogyakarta. Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat, in her speech said that this activity aims to develop UNISA’s strategies in the future.

“We have a commitment to implement UNISA’s development direction. We are currently in the phase of UNISA developing 1, so we must establish ourselves towards UNISA developing 2, which is internationally competitive,” said Dr. Warsiti.

The RKTT is a forum for leaders and heads of units and bureaus of UNISA Yogyakarta to discuss, broadcast, and outline strategic steps in order to improve the quality of education, research, and community service. In addition, this activity also aims to strengthen the synergy between work units within UNISA Yogyakarta.

The RKTT is an important moment for UNISA Yogyakarta to evaluate the achievements of the work program that has been implemented, as well as identify obstacles and challenges faced. TheMinister of Public Works (PU) of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Dody Hanggodo, MPE reviewed the prospective land for the construction of a flat for students of Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta, at the UNISA Yogyakarta Integrated Campus, Monday (17/2/2025). This flat is expected to support the education of UNISA Yogyakarta students.

Dody said that his party is committed to supporting education in Indonesia to achieve the Golden Indonesia 2045. “The main point of achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 is education. We talked to the Chairpersons of PP Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah who we all know are more focused on education and health,” said Dody.

His party will also try to support the construction of the UNISA Yogyakarta flat. The Head of the Center at the Ministry will also coordinate with the technical team at UNISA Yogyakarta. “So that Muhammadiyah and the government can go hand in hand to achieve our ultimate goal of the Golden Indonesia 2045. For Muhammadiyah, God willing, we are ready to support, we have discussed it with Mr. Haedar,” said Dody.

Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Prof. Dr. Haedar Nashir, M.Si. revealed that the boarding system, either short-term or 3 months to a long year, can develop character education. “The problem of this nation is the problem of character, in addition to skills and so on. So Indonesia in the future is a problem of corruption, abuse of power, it is a problem of character,” he said.

Haedar hopes Muhammadiyah can help overcome these problems by strengthening character. “So the boarding system is part of Muhammadiyah’s policy in various and all Muhammadiyah universities,” said Haedar.

Rector of UNISA Yogyakarta, Dr. Warsiti, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat said that the UNISA Yogyakarta Rusunawa will be built on six floors with a capacity of 300 students. The flat will complement the existing dormitory with a capacity of 200 students.

Warsiti said the Rusunawa will also serve as a training center for UNISA Yogyakarta students. Even so, this Rusunawa is not intended for students on a permanent basis. “We use it on a rolling basis for new students to participate in activities or character training as well as personality and leadership development,” said Warsiti.

Warsiti also mentioned that although it has only been a university for seven years, UNISA Yogyakarta has achieved excellent accreditation. Students continue to increase and number nearly 9,000 with 23 study programs. It is hoped that this facility can support the needs of students.

Technology has become an inseparable part of people’s daily lives and activities. Therefore, knowledge related to the use of technology is very necessary for creating public awareness and understanding of the benefits of technology, including in the health sector.

In order to increase public awareness and understanding of family health by utilizing technology, PT SIMS (Saranainsan Mudaselaras) Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Information Technology Study Program of Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a training event entitled ‘Technology-Based Family Health Training – Digitalroots Alpha’ which was held in Salam Village, Patuk District, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region.

The event was attended by various parties, including the Director of PT Jaringan Data Nusantara (JDN), Cleon Lifemedia Yogyakarta, who was a partner in the implementation of this event. Also present on the occasion was the Head of Salam Village, Asmuni, who in his remarks said that this event was very useful for providing education related to the positive use of the internet and introducing technology that could improve the welfare of the community in Salam Village.

“This agenda is very important, especially in providing education about positive internet and the use of technology in everyday life. This is a step forward for the community in facing the ever-evolving digital era,” said Asmuni in his remarks.

In addition, Lifemedia Director Eksan Wahyu Nugroho, S.Kom. also revealed that the importance of using the internet wisely will have a positive impact, especially in terms of increasing public knowledge, both in the fields of health and technology.

A speech was also delivered by the lecturer of the Information Technology Study Program at UNISA Yogyakarta, Sadr Lufti Mufreni, S.Kom., M.Sc., who emphasized the importance of digital knowledge among rural communities to create a generation that is technologically literate, so that it can bring benefits in improving the quality of life.

This training consisted of two sessions. The first session featured Information Technology Study Program student Fikri Abdillah Ahmad, who presented on the theme of the Internet and Its Influence on the Mindset of Generation Alpha. Fikri explained how the internet, as a communication tool and source of information, can influence the way young people think and interact in facing global challenges.

In the second session, the material presented by Sadr Lufti Mufreni, S.Kom., M.Sc., was more in-depth about Positive Internet as a Source of Health Knowledge and Shaping of Mindset. Sadr conveyed the importance of access to accurate health information via the internet and how the internet can be used as a means of education to shape a better mindset, especially related to a healthy lifestyle for the family.

The enthusiasm of the people who attended this event was very high, with around 45 participants actively participating in the training session. Many questions were asked, especially regarding mental health in the Generation Z era and how to prepare Generation Alpha to face technological developments. In addition, there were also questions related to the implementation of positive internet use in the family environment, which were answered by Fikri and Sadr Lufti. Both emphasized that the answer to this challenge cannot be separated from the important role of family members and good parenting in utilizing technology wisely.

The event went smoothly and warmly, closing at 12.00 WIB with the hope that all participants could apply the knowledge gained in their daily lives and become agents of change in society. With this training, it is hoped that the people of Salam Village will be able to use technology more wisely and have a better understanding of family health and the importance of parenting patterns that support the positive development of future generations.

Through this community service activity, UNISA Yogyakarta and its cooperation partners hope to have a sustainable impact, not only in terms of increasing digital knowledge, but also in improving the overall quality of life of the community.
