Unisa Yogyakarta Provides Technology-Based Family Health Training

Technology has become an inseparable part of people’s daily lives and activities. Therefore, knowledge related to the use of technology is very necessary for creating public awareness and understanding of the benefits of technology, including in the health sector.

In order to increase public awareness and understanding of family health by utilizing technology, PT SIMS (Saranainsan Mudaselaras) Yogyakarta in collaboration with the Information Technology Study Program of Universitas `Aisyiyah (UNISA) Yogyakarta held a training event entitled ‘Technology-Based Family Health Training – Digitalroots Alpha’ which was held in Salam Village, Patuk District, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region.

The event was attended by various parties, including the Director of PT Jaringan Data Nusantara (JDN), Cleon Lifemedia Yogyakarta, who was a partner in the implementation of this event. Also present on the occasion was the Head of Salam Village, Asmuni, who in his remarks said that this event was very useful for providing education related to the positive use of the internet and introducing technology that could improve the welfare of the community in Salam Village.

“This agenda is very important, especially in providing education about positive internet and the use of technology in everyday life. This is a step forward for the community in facing the ever-evolving digital era,” said Asmuni in his remarks.

In addition, Lifemedia Director Eksan Wahyu Nugroho, S.Kom. also revealed that the importance of using the internet wisely will have a positive impact, especially in terms of increasing public knowledge, both in the fields of health and technology.

A speech was also delivered by the lecturer of the Information Technology Study Program at UNISA Yogyakarta, Sadr Lufti Mufreni, S.Kom., M.Sc., who emphasized the importance of digital knowledge among rural communities to create a generation that is technologically literate, so that it can bring benefits in improving the quality of life.

This training consisted of two sessions. The first session featured Information Technology Study Program student Fikri Abdillah Ahmad, who presented on the theme of the Internet and Its Influence on the Mindset of Generation Alpha. Fikri explained how the internet, as a communication tool and source of information, can influence the way young people think and interact in facing global challenges.

In the second session, the material presented by Sadr Lufti Mufreni, S.Kom., M.Sc., was more in-depth about Positive Internet as a Source of Health Knowledge and Shaping of Mindset. Sadr conveyed the importance of access to accurate health information via the internet and how the internet can be used as a means of education to shape a better mindset, especially related to a healthy lifestyle for the family.

The enthusiasm of the people who attended this event was very high, with around 45 participants actively participating in the training session. Many questions were asked, especially regarding mental health in the Generation Z era and how to prepare Generation Alpha to face technological developments. In addition, there were also questions related to the implementation of positive internet use in the family environment, which were answered by Fikri and Sadr Lufti. Both emphasized that the answer to this challenge cannot be separated from the important role of family members and good parenting in utilizing technology wisely.

The event went smoothly and warmly, closing at 12.00 WIB with the hope that all participants could apply the knowledge gained in their daily lives and become agents of change in society. With this training, it is hoped that the people of Salam Village will be able to use technology more wisely and have a better understanding of family health and the importance of parenting patterns that support the positive development of future generations.

Through this community service activity, UNISA Yogyakarta and its cooperation partners hope to have a sustainable impact, not only in terms of increasing digital knowledge, but also in improving the overall quality of life of the community.
